i had to replace my 10 yr old hp computer,,
i bought a 4 year old for $300.
zalmen case fans and 500 watt psu,
9800gt card changed to a new msi 1050ti oc,
gigarbite ga-h81m-d2v mobo,
16 gb ram running 8 atmo,
i3-4170 cpu @ 3.7 ghz,
this has really improved my gaming to make me wonder why i battled for so long with inferior set up,
the motherboard will support 4 generation cpu ,will this improve my computer greatly or b happy with what i got,i enjoy reading your tech forum but get a bit lost in space lol keep up the good work

Hey Oden, that motherboard supports 4th Generation Intel CPU's. The issue you will run into there is that we are now on the 8th generation - that one isn't manufactured anymore. I'm personally a bit leery of buying used CPU chips. What games are you playing these days? This set up may be sufficient for you for the time being, depending on what you play.

i mostly dedicate to dods online being an oldy i find at most people are on an even keel playing and its mostly great fun, tried others online but not quick enough lol, what started my journey with this computer over the years ive played all medal of honour ,call of duty but they got a bit advanced and game play in single player way to short,so i bought cod ww11 but couldnt play it properly as only has 4 gig ram so was rather crazy and hp mobo was limited to 4 gig ram,so the new computer played cod ww11 with ease but havnt tried multiplayer as yet ,i play most any game u can chec my steam page

If most of the games you have played on the new PC have been fine so far, I wouldn't worry about trying to upgrade it further!
