I also bring it to work so the sound bothers other people not me

Not sure if it's compatible with a windows machine, but I find the apple magic keyboard with numpad is wireless and very tactile, while omitting the clackiness of a mechanical.

Worst case scenario, go for a logitech wave keyboard. Standard issue at my office... but they stick after a year or two of intensive use.

Well I said screw my specs and got a mechanical wired keyboard lol
