Neat. How's everyone felt about the testing they've already done with it? Do we have any indication of dedicated servers?
 
I really hope they get their heads out of their you know whats and allow for private servers again. That single handedly destroyed gaming communities ever since BF1 was released.
 
I hate to say it but it is my belief dedicated servers are a thing of the past, and so too is the the Battlefield I grew to love so much, I wasn't too crazy about BF1, though it was fun to play with all of you and still is to some degree BFV on the other hand I just can't find the desire
 
Correct. Dedicated/leased servers for games are pretty much going the way of the dodo. EA/DICE can have their control back if they manage the backend. I think it was too scattered the way it was presented anyhow; empty servers from overnight clans and group muddled the servers and did not encourage online play. Putting a tighter grip on the servers can guarantee online play by sacrificing custom servers.

However, there hasn't really been a word on whether dedicated third-party servers will return to BFV. My vote is no. I find it funny that it was that strong of a question to ask during a Q&A session.

I guess we're all clinging onto the past a little bit.... this is the way of the future now. Just doesn't make for cool groups like eGO able to exist within these games the same way, makes me a bit sad :(
 
From what I played, it seems like this game is going to be really good. I'm very excited to see how things run in the Beta and what new stuff they present to us.
