So, my PC currently is running an AMD Radeon Rx Vega 64, and I'm wondering if I should get a 1080 instead of this AMD (for what I know they are equivalents but of different brands). What I do know is that nvidia drivers are WAY better, and I guess that's the only + for the GTX. What do you guys think?

I went Nvidia for the software and drivers alone. Shadowplay is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

My dude im using radeon.... pls go with gtx 1080 <3 trust me, ive had experience with both and the 1080 is wayyyyy better.

1080 all day! I’ve got the 1080 Ti FTW3 and it’s fantastic gaming in 4K.

This. I made the leap a few years ago, I'm not going back

umm...

Heres my question.... is budget not a concern?

if yes? vega
if no? Msi 1080 ti or Zotac OC 1080 TI

Card Higherarchy
--------------------
Titan Xp ($1,367 On Amazon)
Titan X (Pascal) ($1,079.99 On Amazon Marketplace)
GTX 1080 Ti ($849.99 On Newegg)
GTX 1080 ($597 On Amazon)
RX Vega 64 ($1,099.99 On Amazon)
GTX Titan X (Maxwell)

THE ORDER IS BEST PERFORMANCE (TOP)TO LEAST (BOT)

The 1080ti will beat vegas ass anyday!

Get the 1080Ti for sure. I had one paired with a 3440 x 1440 100hz monitor and it tackled just about everything I threw at it on high-ultra settings. I was very impressed.

Buy AMD and tell your friends too so my AMD stocks will go up more. Thanks

HMMMMM.

In real talk. Get the GTX later down the road. If you already have the AMD, no need to spend the money. If you were buying either or, and had to spend money, just go for the 1080 for compatibility, and all the extras it comes with. TBH, You won't notice the difference.

Don't waste your money. Keep the Vega 64, you'll literally notice no difference.

You cannot really give an answer to that question without question. I will get me a 1080 TI, but thats because I upgraded to 4K. The Vega 64 is very bad at 4k according to benchmarks. But for a full HD setup I would keep the vega 64 for now as everything should run smoothly on it.

Its about price
IF you want performence 1080TI
If you want bang for buck RX
