[poll] Battlefield Heroes

As some people might know, I'm a Battlefield 1942 veteran (=(e)= $py was too btw). Now Dice, the developer, introduces Battlefield Heroes. A classed-based shooter like our beloved TF2. TF2 was cheap (in terms of money off course: 35 euro for the Orange Box including TF2 in the Netherlands), but Battlefield is free. It has a similar kind of cel-shaded graphics, has vehicles and is in third-person view. Anyone interested? Here's the link: http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/.

Looks for a bit of added, and free, fun. I think this is EA's attempt to reconcile with the gaming community for being a bunch monopolistic tyrants the last several years.

I love all the BattleField games, I'm totally getting this. They announced Heros last year, it is supposed to be out in the summer.

I am a Battlefield 1942 vet. also. Mainly playing the Desert Combat mod when it was decent. But yeah.... im not sure what to say about this. Having the player customization is an awesome idea. Wish TF2 had something along the lines of that avalible. Idk i have mixed emotions about it. Will give it a shot when it comes out.

I will most definately give this game a try. The graphics are a bit too cartoony for my taste though. The leveling up system and abilities do look promising.

The only problem i have is how they cut the classes allowed in half, they should have kept the others.

They said they're going to have in-game advertising to compensate for being free. That's gonna be interesting.

TF2 will always be my favorite, but I'll give Battlefield heroes a shot. I've played bf2142; that's a cool game.

The commando (sniper/spy class) is pretty much useless as a sniper (as of right now). You can't headshot people (so no one hit kills). I hope they buff it.

It's going to be one of those "pay for content, shove ads down your throat" type games, but I love WWII games and this one looks interesting, so I'll play it for a while, at least.

I hope the customization items are for real currency, I found this unclear.
As for the $50 dollar sniper, the trailer clearly says weapons are an in-game currency that you earn by playing, not buying. But I won't be surprised if they pull and ijji on us and sell such currency.

the ads in game can't help, also automatic match making means you can't get better as quick : \ and you can't play with friends who are better than you. It looked good, but the features they are announcing is making it less attractive than I initially had anticipated.

basically to sum it up, TF2 will remain better than Heroes, I will probably still play a little of Heroes; however, TF2 will remain better than BF: Heroes and Vavle doesn't need to worry, much less us.
