I think that the pG forums were better in showing the announcements... I RARELY look at the breaking news, and when I do, I notice that I?ve missed a few weeks/days of announcements...

Yes. I do. Honestly, the only reason I look at the front page so much is that I misclick the "forums" button and it takes me to the main page... Might as well read up on it while I'm there. I personally don't see a point in double posting Breaking News, might as well just put it in one place.
