Age of Conan

Both games are mmo just different looks. one more a realistic approach, the other more colorful/cartoony. My biggest pet peeve with AoC is that EVERYTHING is instanced. I like in WoW how you only load for different continents. Or for actual instance/dungeons... but in a dungeon its just you and a friend, not 50 other people.

I love MMOs and I've played all of the big ones and a lot of the small ones. Looking back on all of my MMO experience, I have to say that my biggest problem is that I don't like to play with other people. I know the second "M" in MMO stands for "multiplayer," but I just don't normally group with other people. I will group if I see someone's try to gather people for an instance, but the only time I tried to gather a group myself was when I was getting my epic warlock mount in WoW.

AoC has the potential to make me start playing in groups, but it also made me realize how much fun I had in WoW so I started playing that again instead :-D

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that, this game has definitely got me looking for a WoW fix, may end up reinstalling the game later today in fact.

AOC is nice, but once that initial "ooh shiny" factor wore off, it really did feel kind of incomplete. I actually enjoy tortage way more than my experience (albeit limited) in the "outside" world.

Plus my fiance still plays WoW and it's one of my only ways to talk to her outside of like...AIM, and the phone, and going to see her..

Tortage was great, if you haven't finished the end quest in that area. It was a bummer to get past the starting area and no longer have voiced NPCs or solo "night-time" instances.

Same thing here. I've found I've had more fun in WoW, mostly because I was able to play with my RL friends who play it as well. AoC just isn't doing it for me. I'll finish out the month, but I'd rather play with people I know for something like this. Plus, It made me realize just how much time I've put into WoW since it first came out, and while I don't have the uber-top-raid/PVP gear, I'm still happy with my two 70s. WoW got reinstalled and reinstated, and I started playing with my buddies again. Plus, it doesn't help that out of all my friends, only 1 or 2 have the machines required to run AoC anyway.

Here's to yet another MMO that just made me miss how much fun I had playing WoW...

AoC had everything u wanted from WoW like guild raids and stuff liek that but it also lacks what WoW strengthens in like classes and races.

This is now the official World of Warcraft server topic <hijack>

So then, what server are we all on, what classes do we have, etc...?

I have currently two 70s on Drenden(sp) Warlock and Druid. I used to have two 70s on another account as well (sold now) Warrior and Hunter.

I have a 70 priest, mage, paladin and a 66 hunter and 61 rogue on mannoroth

Spirestone (PVP)
- 70 Undead Warlock - Zortax
- 70 Troll Shaman - Shammalama
- 40ish Orc Warrior - Interocitor

Rain, are you still playing?
I picked OMM too, and didn't know you would pick it as well. (Random luck go go)

Anyways I have a Demo at 38, and starting up my HoX at 18 now.
PM me for name. XD

Also: I have an extra Collector's Edition un opened... I think I need to put it up on E-bay or something. I bought it incase I didn't get the 1st one I ordered and I got both! :(

I am still on Omm yes. Our guild has the keep up I am told. I haven't played in 3-4 days. Been really busy, my guy is stuck at 32 or 33 and group i was lvling with is around 45 now. I might do a power session this weekend, but don't know. my 32 Guardian is named Voln. I also have a 21 priest.

Built a new computer yesterday, waiting on the ram to arrive by the end of this week, then will be installing a bunch of stuff to set it up, so not sure how much gaming time i will have this weekend.

funny video of AoC, but kinda feel bad for the victims.

Just got this game 2 days ago, I love it!!

Just so you guys know, even though the zones are all instanced, if your in a group with other players you all load into the same zone.

I just got my Cimmerian Conquerer to lvl 20 and it is an absolute blast. The combat is fun and has you actively playing, and once you get a handle on chatting and grouping it is very enjoyable to rampage around the zones and do quests.

One thing I enjoy so much is that the quests are all highlighted to where you have to go, and they are all fairly easy, so it feels like your making tons of progress in a short time.
