We all know that lighter shade colors in conjunction with a light color text can be difficult to see at times. How many times has a fellow member of administration utilized the @ in team/all chat to enforce a statement and it gets overlooked with the flooded text in chat? Not that this is a pressing issue, but I've heard time and time again from players who may have not seen a warning for a server violation because of it's visibility. With the original statement in mind of color contrast and shades, how troublesome would it be to change the color of the text to which administrators use so that warnings are better seen? Keep in mind, Dust 2 server is already a light complected map. This is just a suggestion that I've discussed with other members, and that it would be a solid topic to bring up. Look forward to seeing a reply on this post, Thanks!

While not a specific answer to your question, I like to the use the "sm_pmenu" command to send warnings to players when things get busy. They can't ignore it and have to acknowledge it, or it's stuck on their screen. You can do @all with it when chat is being flooded. Just an idea.

I tried it on pG TTT, where this also cause issues (especially when people are IDing bodies, etc)

] sm_pmenu divine test
Unknown command: sm_pmenu

Damn. Not sure if there is a corresponding command on GO. One of the CS AT's may know.

Essentially what I'm trying to get at is the fact that even for myself, it's difficult to see green/gold text being displayed. Whether this is in @all or Tea Tea m to communicate with players or other administrators on the Dust 2 server. Not sure what the color scheme is like on pg TTT, however, in Dust 2 all the color are light complected. Green/Gold/Yellow tints often make it hard to visibly view text in chat. When you are in-game after administering an @all text, for example, "If the bomb hasn't been planted, ALL Ts must be out of spawn by 1:30 each round, Thanks", this can often be overlooked in chat because of the light color scheme of text. For administrator communication in Tea Tea m chat is also often over-looked, especially in a full server, with the chat being flooded. I can't exclaim how many times another member has sent/received a message in @all or Tea Tea m and the outcome is "See what? Or I didn't see it?". With a darker hue on a light background, messages are less likely to be missed as it is easier to view. Also, when utilizing /psay <name>, this text also uses the same color scheme. Just a suggestion is all but as for a possible color to stand out for all players on Dust 2, a purple hue color would stand out instead of a green. What do you all think? Is this possible?

Basically, if you are not looking for it, communication between players & administrators can easily be missed (granted you can always find it again in console).

I agree with this, the yellow writings of admins blends in with the rest of the messages and when the server is busy warnings to the server get lost at times.

I was so concerned at first glance then I saw the M lol

The admin chat color was changed so it would be better visible. Would we want this changed in CS:S as well?

Talked with C CtrlAltDelicious and it was for CS:S. Drewerth could we make the admin chat stuff Red so it is better to see on Dust2? Also, is it possible to make it where all admins can see private messages that are sent like in CS:GO?

Admin mods are being rewritten, this will be a process. Thanks for being patient!
