They are trying way to hard to be Discord, if people want Discord they will download Discord. And mine is very very laggy.
 
It's super confusing and shouldn't have been released just yet. It broke a lot of things and it is EXTREMELY ugly like it's hideous.
 
It's a great update, but it seems to "break" a lot of times and it stops showing the friend's list and such. If they fix those small bugs, it's a good update but it'll take some time getting used to.
 
Messed up the theme I had so I had to go back to the default one :(
 
I like it to an extent - it's not fully where I'd like it yet and definitely has some bugs still. This update is LONG overdue and I feel they're jumping on it just because Discord has become a big chat platform and they feel the need to rival it, but are 5 years behind on anything.

This was my issue too, but if you go to Metro's Steam group there's unofficial fixes that have been made that still give the metro look and don't force the ugly friends list on you.

I don't like the update. I think it's buggy and honestly looks terrible, but I like the option to go invisible instead of just offline. I think if they add more customization to the friends window, I'll like it more. Like, it's cool and all that I can see which of my friends are playing CS:GO together, but if you could not force that to be at the top of my friends list along with other games that I don't have installed or don't care about, that'd be great Valve.
 
I've had it for a month or two now with the beta program. By now I'm used to it, but it still makes things like accessing someone's profile from the chat window much more difficult.
 
Not really "new" been around for almost 2 months, but yea it is now an all in one app
 
As others have mentioned, it's pretty buggy.. But overall I really like that I can FINALLY send pictures and the fact that you can add your "favorites" and have them show at all times etc etc.

Overall, I really enjoy the update, but it can definitely be improved.
 
I will definitely be spamming the MS group chat with giphys

Common valve where are the updates to FIX your games instead of making the ui look better.
