I write with my left, but I can do a few other things with my right, like cutting with scissors.

Right handed becuase I'm not unique

I wish I was ambidextrous, can I still learn?

Yes. It's never too late to learn something like this. It is easier while you're young and still developing the motor skills, but you can always train yourself to use your less dominant hand for tasks. It just takes a lot of dedication. Spend time doing things with your less dominant hand daily and, over time, it'll get easier to perform those tasks.

I am left handed but can do a fair amount of tasks right handed. I am able to write right handed but it takes more time.

Ambidextrous, my parents taught me to write in both as a kid

im dominantly right handed but I use to do certain things as a lefty like I use to bat lefty in baseball but i'd still throw with my right arm.

Kinda have to, scissors won't cut if you don't have lefty ones. I bought a pair of lefty scissors and OMG you should try them :o

Edit: I am a lefty, and my handwriting is atrocious because no one ever taught me the proper way to write as a lefty.

I wonder how genetics/environment plays into this. Every male from my dads side of the family is left handed going back 4 generations including myself and my brother.

Think about the people that use a mouse with with their left hand. I use my left hand for almost everything but a mouse has to be done with my right for some reason.

Pretty damn normal, just another right hander.

My job pays me to work with both hands. LOL. Actually, with body positioning and reach issues, sometimes it's just easier to work with my non-dominant hand. So I've become adept. No way I would call myself ambidextrous though. Still can't write legibly with my off-hand; of course some say I can't write legibly with my good hand so there's that.
TL;DR
Taught myself how to ban with either hand.

Pretty damn normal
There is nothing normal about you sir.

Right handed for everything, except a few select things. Back when I played baseball in my youth I was actually a good switch hitter.
