Cyberpower, IBuyPower, Digital Storm, VelocityMicro, OriginPC (Not Origin gaming service from EA)....
Those are all known and been around for 5-10+ years. Personally, I would rather just build mine own as I have experience and even if I didn't know how, I'd rather learn because that can also be a skill you can put on your resume later on in life.
Advantages of pre-builts: you do get a 1-3 year warranty on parts and labor so that maybe worth it to some where as building your own, you only have individual warranties on each part.

Closest thing for bang for your buck if you're not comfortable building is around 2k is this https://www.ibuypower.com/Store/iBUYPOWER-Snowblind-Pro and it cheaps out on PSU and HDD/SSD unless I'm blind. Also not my go to motherboard but call me a fanboy but I prefer asus.
You can get Windows from kinguin and the Key should be fine with the Kinguin Guard all I had to do was call microsoft and they give you a code to type in, it probably takes 2-3 minutes to finish setting that up make sure you have a windows USB installer though.

I am looking to get keyboard, mouse, speakers(?), and monitors in addition to the desktop tower. I bought a headset earlier this year, so I'm set with that.

If you want to play PUBG on ultra settings I recommend the i7-7980XE processor and an RTX 2080Ti graphics card. That's only good for 60 FPS though.
In all seriousness though, I think the best setup for a flexible budget would simply be going for an i7-8700k and something like a 1070 or a 1070Ti, now that 10 series GPUs are going down in price with the release of the RTX cards. If you're looking to aim higher than a 1080p 144hz monitor, the 1080/1080Ti would be my pick. I rocked my 1080Ti in 1080p, 1440p, and 4k environments and had no issues on high-ultra settings in nearly any game.
