I have a thought I gotta get out there to all players. As an IRL small business owner, I know how easy it can get to ignore the little things. Oh, its no big deal as it doesn't cost or hurt much. But I also knnow, if you mind the pennies, the dollars will take care of themselves.

No, We need to really push the realistic RP again. and this goes for everyone. Driving, we all get carried away on occasion I'm sure, but please please for the love of god, help remind players of the need to drive realistic. It blows me away how many people wanna cry about getting warned or kicked for failRP when they blow past me sitting at a light, they crash/building, get ejected from the car and yet get right back into the same car and keep driving. I will not hesitate to admin the crap right out of that non sense. So please, educate players around you. If you are not the kind to help and educate others, use /report to get the word up to admins so we can handle it.

GunPlay, Here is a scene I see all too often. One car "bumps" into another car, the guy who hit car A immediately starts apologizing, oh man I was going too fast (realistic driving much) and bumped you I'm sorry. Dude in the other car isnt listening, he just jumps out with a gun and immediately yells, "put your hands up, you ***** ****" and I'm like come on. Talk it out, call PD and let them investigate an accident. Get creative with ways to handle what you feel is a wrong doing. If you immediately pull guns you will find yourself shot on the floor a lot.

Loitering; the garage is a no loitering zone. Please help educate players to get their car and move on. There is no need to loiter there because guess what, Car A doesn't drive realistic, he hauls ass into the garage and bumps car B, car B gets out with guns to kidnap car A and gets mowed down. You see how all of these "little things" can be fixed and result in a much better RP world for everyone? and they all stack on each other.


G's cannot just sit by and expect O's on up to handle everything either. I do not expect random players to step in, but e's dont be scared to educate. e's are our greatest presence, G's, step in and be that first line of admin presence, then O's follow it up with the last line. If you see the likes of Legend or Adam having to respond to /reports we are missing our duties. Of course if they are the only ones on its a different story.

Nothing wrong with telling guys what is wrong with what they are doing. And again, use the /report to raise awareness if you would prefer not to handle it. Of course, do not break RP and immediately go OOC for this stuff. Finish the scene and then educate. /report anytime, the earlier the better so Admin's can have some perspective of whats going on.

No shit someone bump into my car. I ask for money for a new bumper. They pull a gun on me fast. I was outnumber so I said we cool, you dont need to pay me. So i started bullshitting them in the parking lot. I was telling them people kept calling me for rides. I kept calling the cop for the class 2 shotgun he had. They show up detain everyone and found a heavy sniper and shotgun.

They will do what you let them get away with. Just keep pushing it and enforcing/educating it and it will come around.

People just like to sit at center garage or around legion square in my opinion because that is where the most action goes down because people come in and return/get their cars. Most newer people and even some more experienced players seem to sit there and want to cause problems because they don't like finding creative alternatives to roleplaying, they'd rather just sit there and role play the same situation over and over again with minor changes each time. I don't think there is much we can do about people loitering at center garage because it has become a main attraction server wide.

Again, it is a no loitering zone. Lead by example and also help educate guys. Sammy had a good barrier setup last night and had the garage on point. It also brought a new element of RP to the server.

I feel this is the main root problem we have. Everyone trying to act out the same RP character, a tough-a$$ (white/black) dude.

Get creative! Become a hipster, be a broke homeless person, be a retired soldier suffering from extreme PTSD... This is RolePlay, create a fun character & run with it!
If everyone is just a "tough-a$$ dude", then there is no RolePlay. It only becomes GTA: Online with RP rules.


Some people wonder why I RP as a female. Well, have you ever tried it? The different reactions you get are sometimes hilarious, & it makes RP interesting for me. You never know when someone you lightly bump someone with your car & they get pissed, but when you get out, they change tune to try to be a savvy gentleman in order to get a date with you :laugh:
Not only that, but it increases the female population on the server & helps a bit to balance things out so people can get female-related RP explored.

I fall victim to this, and I am sure 99% of the community does as well. I'm definitely going to put in effort to completely remove gun play from my RP as a civ.

What if we removed main garage and kept the one that is north west of the city and put one down south east and remove the one in the middle, that way there wont be a main hub for everyone, there might be less cop baiting, and maybe there could be more RP for the LSSD because the crimes might happen a little further away in the city instead of the large amount of calls coming from main garage area and there most likely the same story: "a guy shot me and drove away". "a guy ran me over when he got his car out". "i was gun down by 4 people because i called this one guy's car ugly". Splitting the main garage into 2 in the city might stop a lot of that. And in the city near main garage its easy to lose the cops in a chase because theirs so many corners you can take and theirs not many cars in your way. And when they lose the cops they just speed back to the garage and put there car away in case they put out a bolo and take out another car. And the cops use legion as a staging area just sitting there waiting for something to happen. But most of the time its people just cop baiting, speeding out of garage into a drift and flying down the street at 160 mph+, cops dont chase that because there just cop baiting and they know that there not gonna stop for them and chances are the player is faster then the cop. Having 2 garages will add a bit more of a challenge for the cops because the player has 2 choices to pick for a garage and the cops cant just stage up at a garage (well i mean they can but it might be a little more hard since there is 2 in the city) because the PD is further away the police might be deterred to do so out of laziness. Another point that i have is the strawberry 24/7 is only 3 blocks away from the main garage and its easy for the police to show up right when the alarm is pulled. within 3 seconds of starting the robbery the police are already there and your still waiting about 1 minute for the money and the police are just yelling at you to come out with your hands up but you wont because your still waiting for the money, and the fact that when you leave theirs no spots for cover other then the back room where the police already know where you are. in my opinion it kind of ruins the RP when theirs no chance of you making out alive with the money from a robbery. also this brings me to my next point, when we dont have anymore trolls and non RP'ers which i dont think that will happen just because i think where the only server that has 3 different servers because theirs so many people that play on edge-gamers, but when we do start to fix the little things we might be able to take the floating numbers away from peoples head since that kinda ruins the RP a little in ways I'm sure everyone already knows. and add a feature where the admins can click a button and then they can see the names or have another way for ID purposes for banning, kicking, etc,. Another thing is that with car crashes most of the car crashes we have are because of A.I. and theirs no way to really RP that so it conditions us to do the same for other players. And really the only people that RP a crash are the people that drive realistically all the time which i started doing about 2 weeks ago. With the realistic driving, when players reck there car, they pull up the handy dandy F7 menu and fix it that way, removing the would help a lot with driving realistically because they have no way to fix the car themselves other then repair kit, or calling a mech. the F7 gives people a little more comfort that they can drive 160mph+ reck and know that they can repair it quick and drive off into the sunset with no worries. Welp i hope i covered all of my thoughts and opinions and sorry for typing so much. Shout out to Hideout.
