I think it?s the best MP5 version that they could have added . I would have liked to have seen something that could pierce armor better(Kriss SUPER-V or AK-74U come to mind) but I will be using this ASAP!

The MP5 is good for mobility, and in CS:GO, it?ll probably be a money saver.

you cant take the silencer off it, unacceptable :(

Valve should make better hitboxes.... but since were talking about guns here, they should replace the ak 47 and add the CV 47 instead ;) #CSS.
(Mp5 was a good addition tho)

I queued a competitive to get a solid one hour gameplay of the MP5 then I realized its a casual and deathmatch only weapon. REEEEE But it's a pretty great weapon.

For those that want comparison between it and mp7:

Pros over MP7:
-Silenced
-Faster Movement Speed compared to having MP7 out
-Slightly Faster Reload Time
-(Very) Slightly More Accurate when standing still

Cons:
-Less Damage (Only by 2 points)
-Much less accurate when moving

IMHO not that bad of a weapon. Fun to use, glad such a staple weapon is back. just wish you could remove silencer.

Sounds like a good second round buy should you lose the initial pistol round.

How much does it break the bank?

But how does its armor pen stack up, and how much damage does it lose over range? Smgs are mostly going to be going against pistol/armor force buys, so that armor pen and damage falloff means more than its raw damage.

Some where around 3 to Yes.

Something to note, the weapon firing is completely inaudible past 20 meters, is no longer a 1 hit unarmored headshot starting at 9.3 meters, and at 23.5 meters, stops being a 2 hit helmeted headshot.

Its damage dropoff is more severe than the mp9, its accurate range is lower, its price is higher, and its rate of fire is lower. I don't see why you would ever buy this over the mp9, which goes for the mp7 right now. Maybe a T-side lurking weapon.

All other aspects, including damage fall-off and armor pen are basically identical to MP7.

Guns still shit compared to UMP tho. best to just get a UMP in 2nd round force-ups than this. But still, its a fun weapon that can still be used casually. dont expect it in high-rank Competitives and in proplay anytime soon tho.

mp9 is the best smg if you can control it. fastest reload, fastest run speed, highest accurate range, lowest damage falloff, highest rate of fire, and lowest inaccuracy.

This is nice and all, but did I read that it's movement speed is faster than that of the MP7??

Regardless, I'm curious to see what kind of skins come out for it. MP5SD sand dune anyone? :D
