Recent Update

As usual with game updates, a few undocumented changes made it through, in particular a doorway was removed from Goldrush part 1, near the 2nd capture point. Screenshots below show exactly what it is, just so people are aware of the change:

can't you just go up the stairs and out the doorway up the stairs? Seems like it's a buff for the blue team, makes it harder for red to get in there, gives blue some breathing room. Haven't played it yet, but I hope it lets blue win a bit more. The first stage should be the easiest to cap, not the hardest.

As usual theres a lot of complaining for offense and defense on the forums, I haven't tried it out yet but it seems like it can help or hinder either team. Blue loses an attack route straight to the point, if the cart is up far enough, red loses a back door to the balcony and upper sentry room, which is widely considered essential for defending the last point.

That door was sometimes useful when you managed to sneak a scout out through it and have them crouch by the bomb. Now a sentry gun will ALWAYS be able to hit anyone who comes out because they have to drop down.

yeah that would be a very good help for blue team. But it still leaves othere maps where it some what hard still to get it all the way.

You gotta love how they are always making this game better. This is truly one of the best online FPS games every created.

I like it too, when CS:S came out they added HDR and a few new features over time, but they never really were adamant about maps or changes to gameplay. I would like to see the achievement packs for some classes right now since they seem perfect as is (Demoman, Spy, Soldier). Come on valve don't let me down
