I haven't really played any new-new games in a while. I will say that traditionally I am always pleased by each game in the Zelda series that comes out, they always bump things up a notch every time to impress me.

When Super Mario Galaxy came out originally, I think that's the first game that made me say WOAH at the graphics being really good, followed up by Metal Gear Solid 4. That game has aged REALLY well.
