pretty close to the specs I built for a guy recently and he's loving it so far. My only thing is, with modern hardware being what it is, I like a 750W PSU just for the future's sake. Personal preference. One nitpick though...this build won't run. you need RAM. or at least i'm not seeing it on your list. i'll look some stuff up for you real quick and post back if i can. storm just hit so hopefully power won't go out. ;). btw, grats on the new PC!
 
I would suggest replacing the Antec tricool fans... they are loud... and I don't like the LED look. My rig is dealy quiet and I run:

Antec 900 case
2 - Scythe S-Flex SFF21F fans (replaced the front Antec tricools for intake)
2 - Scthe S-Flex SFF21E fans (one for intake into the video card on the side and one exhaust one the rear)
1 - Antec 250mm fan on HIGH (top fan on the case for exhaust)
Zalman 9500 CPU HSF
Zalman VF700 VGA HSF for my Radeon 3870
120mm fan on my OCZ StealthXtreme PSU (I think it is a 750watt)

The case is deathly quiet... I have to watch for the HDD led to light up to know if it is turned on if my monitor is off. You have PLENTY of room in that case for a good CPU HSF... if I were to do it again, I would look into getting a Thermalright HR-01 or Ultra 120 since they would be even quieter than my Zalman... :)

The rest ofthe rig looks great... get a GOOD power supply over getting a BIG power supply... you may spend more, but I bought a mediocore PSU for ~$70 when I built my computer and had to replace it.... I could have spent $200 or so for what I spent on the two combined... :)
 
my suggestion would be to go for a better PSU...spend a little extra there and you'll be very happy with a longer PC life. check out either [link=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703005]PC Power and Cooling[/link] or [link=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002]OCZ[/link]. both are well known PSU makers.

whoops. yeah had a debate with a few CS buddies of mine from UTD a few weeks back and they went against a 4 gig ram set as one guy couldn't get his to read more than 2.8gigs i think.. long story and it was his 21st.. so we were a little intoxicated at the time.

so the one on top is stock and the others are custom? I'll probably swap out the tricool fans, shouldn't be much of a price add. i kinda-sorta like the led look.. i'll toy around with that and see what i like later on though.

Yes... I was AMAZED at how LOUD the Tricools were... they weren't really loud at al, but when I swapped the S-Flex fans in, I could not hear the system running while it was sitting next to me... :) S-Flex aren't "cheap" for a fan, but I could not be happier with them.
 
I second the 8800 gts g92 but not because it is faster at stock speeds. It is naturally cooler and quieter with the dual slot cooler and you dont need rivatuner or speedfan to make sure of this. It also overclocks like crazy if you ever need a boost in the future. Not sure about the OCZ gamestreams, have no experience in them, but corsairs or pcpcool I can personally say are great. Other than those two opinions, great setup for the money! :)
 
I've never used A-DATA RAM and really haven't seen it used often. I'd stick with a major brand like Corsair, G.Skill, Patriot, maybe OCZ. Youll find RAM at similar prices, plus you'll have an easier support base if you need it. ADATA could be awesome, I am just offering an opinion.

I read an on JohnnyGuru about the Powerstreams having severe ripple at high loads. This is a bad thing. This was a few months ago so they might have improved on the design, but I'd double check to be sure.
 
WOW, you guys need to be my new best friends... and help me purchase a good gaming computer. I have built my own in the past... but have NO idea whats good right now.

You think with a budget of $1000 (not incl. monitor) I can build a better than decent computer?
 
upper mid range easily. i'm spending 220 on the monitor and another 60 on excess fans + plus 120 on case. throw a standard 40-60 dollar case and you could probably get yourself a good rig.

checked up on ADATA just now.. one reviewer boasting that it's the 4th largest in the world on the memory market right now and has just recently moved into the american market. Newegg reviews and then some are giving it a great score... i'll stick with it.. 40 bucks is easy to come by, given a week or two.

Powerstreams... what? are you referring to the PSU?
