2 Cameras

I wanted to get the eGO's communitys thoughts and recommondations on this...

I was looking in to buying my first camera for my birthday, and I want a slim, black, point-and-shoot camera that takes video, and is the best quality for the money. Size and look is most important though, and price! I narrowed it down to these 2:

I read many reviews on these 2, and for the most part, they sounded good. Which one do you think is a better camera to buy for the price?

And if you guys recommend any other ones go ahead and say so as well

that being said, the ones you pasted are decent - so it all depends really on how much you're willing to spend ;-)

Hmm.. that one does look better than the $160 one i posted, although it has less megapixels. does this matter?

i think im going to look into that one u posted, it looks pretty good thanks for feedback

the differences in MP are more noticeable the larger you get on the pic.

fujifilm seems like roller coaster to me in recent years though i'm sure they've gotten better... 8mp for 106$ is amazing considering the one i was looking at was by nikon for 170$ (also 8 mp.) it's almost too good to be true but then, may be worth its weight in gold. the 8mp by fuji seems like your best bet if price is one of your bigger issues.

I'm not entirely sure with point and shoots (pretty sure), but for dslr MP is not nearly the whole story. I know point n shoots with 10 MP that people have returned because the results are so poor compared to their old 8 MP. I would go with reliable reviews on the usability and picture quality over number of pixels.
