Legal or not?

I found this spot and i figured it would be a good idea to see if this is legal or not :

As i do not want to be in trouble with Ego.
So what do you think??

I'd say it's an unintended destination, so yeah... illegal.

It seems to me that those "window gaps" are all over valve maps AND are intended for demomans/soldiers/skilled scouts
to get there and have an advantage over non-jumping classes.
In my opinion, that place is legit.

although you have the advantage of being above the other players, those other players can still shoot you (and kill you) so i would think it would be legit.

Well here's my view:

It's in the map, no invisible textures from that picture.
No cheats are required to reach it.
Whilst its a great spot, you CAN be killed.

So, my verdict: Legal, but i'd happily change it if Advisors / Council decide otherwise.

The major question is this: Can you be killed there? If you can be killed, IMHO, it's fine.

Yeah, I think the consensus is that if it's not extremely difficult to kill you from a location then you should be okay with that. So I can't say from that screenie.

Yea you can get killed when you're up there, so I think its legal.

The definition of an exploit is an area in which a player or team can get an unfair advantage.

Although we have told players above the sniper deck to get off, this ruling is pretty tough. I wouldn't kick or ban for it, but I don't play much 2fort.

Ok, time to end this before it becomes 10 pages of opinions.

The rule of thumb that Council/Advisors have always used to determine if we allow it on eGO servers is if the player looks to be standing on air and not anything else it is not a good spot, on our servers.

Thats the rule we have followed for a long time in these situations and will continue to follow. Best way is if you are on their team and can get near them, look up at their feet, if you can see BOTH of their feet, it would mean they are standing on air, so its not a spot they should be, on our servers. I know on some servers it may be allowed, but not here.

So there you go, thats how we have ruled on any of these spots when looking at them. This is the same for the spot above the sniper area on 2fort as well, the player looks to be standing on air, so we ruled it illegal on our servers(as well as a possible glitch with that area and being able to sometimes get stickies into the opposing team spawn area.
