The goal is to reduce the clutter and make it more similar to the PG profile

1. Merge the Mentions/ThreadTags/PostLikes&Thanks on the user profile. With this you can add an option to sort/search.

2. Merge the settings for edit avatar and edit profile picture. They don't really need to be two separate things.

3. Set the activity page to default show only the person's activity and not their friends activity. (keep the options to switch between All, friends, etc. but have the person be the initial view instead of all)

4. Add an option to comment to visitor messages (Not adding a message to your profile or going to their profile to add a message)

A lot of this may be difficult to do... I'd love to see better profiles but...

These are limitations of the actual plugin. They're separated because each one is a different plugin.

This is a Vbulletin design. We could disable profile pictures completely so people aren't confused though.

I'm not sure Vbulletin allows that option.

And finally, another Vbulletin limitation. Basically for the majority of this we are limited by how vbulletin designed their systems. It's not quite a one click option or a plugin and would require extensive overhauling. Not to totally poop on the great ideas (I'd love all these things), but, we are limited. Xenforo was created in a very different era, so it's geared to a very different audience - more "social". Vbulletin was initially released in 2000 - so, visitor messaging was quite differently done.

Edit; for people disliking this - I'm not against this, I'm just telling you that it's not just a one click trick to make all this happen. Vbulletin has a LOT of limitations, it's older software that was designed very differently than what we are used to seeing these days. We'd have to rewrite a TON of code ourselves to achieve any of this.

pG's forums were one of the only things I really missed after the merge. They were just cleaner and looked more appealing imo.
 
Sounds to me that this Vbulletin thing is more unreliable then a Yugo
 
please make it a thing for i still have trouble finding around in my own profile, in pg it was esay +1 make it happen

Im only disliking due to the fact you have 500+ rep and just sitting too high on the hog for my likin...


Also do people still care about profiles ? On a vBulletin forum? In 2018? Dont you youngin’s have myspace or zynga or geocities or livejournal or whatever is hip now?
