What application are you reporting this issue on?

TF2

Short description of the problem (255 char limit)

Frequent ping increase for multiple people on the server

What server are you reporting this issue on?

Hightower

Please describe the issue in as much detail as possible.

Every five minutes or so, almost everyone on the server receives a massive ping spike into the 200s. This is unacceptable, and it's been happening for a week now.

Please describe how to replicate the bug in as much detail as possible

It replicates itself.

Any extra info we may need to know

Send me a winmtr screen shot and gather everyone that you know to do the same.

This is the only way we can show the provider IE NFO there is an issue. If you can’t supply that or not willing too there won’t be anything we can do.

Thanks in advanced.

I find that hard to believe. I can't get everyone on the server to use a winmtr log, and what you're saying is that you're unwilling to even inquire over it without all of that data? Can't they simply monitor the server on their end and uncover the problem with their own diagnostic tools?

I haven't personally experienced it in the last two days, but I'm not sure if any action was taken.

What I need you to do and please follow these directions.

When you have a HIGH ping like you have shown in this picture. I need you to alt-tab, immediately start capturing a winmtr, let it run for 2 minutes max.

Once done, please take a SCREENSHOT of the winmtr, do not copy/paste it via text. It makes it hard to read when you copy/paste it.

It would appear that this issue isn't unique to our server. From what I can tell, it seems that every TF2 server hosted by NFO experiences this problem concurrently. There doesn't appear to be anything you can do, but I'm disappointed in NFO for allowing this disruption to continue for such a long duration of time.

No, but friends of mine playing on another NFO-hosted server were experiencing the same problem at the exact same time our server was.

If you can, get the ip of the server they were playing on.

Do a winmtr and compare our server with theirs and see if its the same routes. If it is, then we can bring more information to NFO showing where the issue is.

Since it's been months without a response, I'm closing this thread.
