Battlefield Division Player respect issue

I'm posting this for Leadership input, but also wanted to gather some opinions from others.

A long time ago there were players (usually snipers) who when they made a long shot would alternately crouch and stand; they were simulating teabagging the person they killed on the killcam. For some reason it stopped. But recently it started up again.

"Teabagging" is an act of sexual domination. But within the game it can be perceived as that or just gloating. (For example, there are a few players who, upon killing someone will shake their heads for the killcam, or move a tank barrel back and forth.) I will warn the teabaggers, and it stops; at least I've never seen it continue. I believe it is a player respect issue.

Earlier today I kicked a guy for griefing. We had a brief discussion after he came back and he didn't seem to be holding a grudge. But later when he killed me he gave me the teabagging motion. I warned him not to do it again in all chat. A few minutes later a sniper got me (with not a particularly difficult shot) and did the same thing. So I kicked him since the warning had gone to everyone.

Two other admins in the game (YellowBanana and reefer) were surprised at my action and we discussed it in admin chat. I said I would post this message to the forums.

Question: is teabagging a player respect issue worthy of w/k/b?

Teabagging shouldn't be considered an issue on eGO. Yes, It's a way to gloat, or make the person that died feel like dodo. But, if it was a serious issue, major fps and popular games would have blocked the crouch button from being spammed.

The action doesn't do no harm externally, so it should obviously be left alone. If someone gets hurt enough over a game, they shouldn't play the game.

Lmao Tbagging from far away is dry dipping it don't mean anything if not over your body.

But all kidding aside warning players for celebrating a kill in a FPS game sounds like a good way to get yourself Tbagged

So I'm a bit of both minds: If one team is completely destroying another, and the #1 player on the team doing the destroying T-bags every player they kill, it seems a bit excessive (and stupid...while you bag, I will aim). On the other hand, I have done tea-bagging in a completely friendly mindset (i.e. "YEAH, totally killed you while you had 2% health with my RPG from 5 feet away...after you killed me uninterrupted 30 times!").

All the same, I do find it extremely childish when it is not used in good humor. The whole thing just strikes me as arrogance to the extreme......oh....wait.....internet FPS. DARN IT!

Tbagging has been accepted in eGO as I understand it. I have no problem with it. Unless its a top player doing it constantly. Then it is just poor sportsmanship.

As for player respect though I have to admit with all the things going on in politics and the awareness of abuse towards women. Perhaps it is time for the community to consider finding some other ways to raz each other than mom jokes and comments about sexual abuse towards women.

Teabagging has existed for a very long time, and I don't think it is really that bad. I understand that when you die and someone spams the crouch button on your dead body, that it would rustle your jimmies, but it really isn't that bad. Is it really so hard to ignore one simple taunt that you have to go and kick people for it? Like, let's be honest here, and no offense, your supporting argument is weak, and reminds me of these feminists from the west. All that should happen is that you should just not think to much about it, and stop taking it so personally. Just maintain your maturity and composer, and ignore it.

1. I only know it happens when it happens to me. As I said, it's a player respect issue, not a personal issue. I'm way too old to let a few pixels generated through the anonymity of the internet cause that kind of concern. My thought is if they're doing it to me they're doing to the people who will take in personally.

2. I don't kick, I w/k/b; and it's never gotten to the ban. In fact, I can't think of any kicks until just before I posted. "Please don't celebrate the kill by spamming the crouch button" has always worked.

3. I'm not sure where you are, but I'm in the west. It's the northeast feminists I've had a problem with! Geographical kidding aside, we live in rapidly changing times when it comes to sexual innuendo, and in particular sexual dominance. I just want the server to be free of that controversy.

4. All that being said I understand everyone's position and yield to the majority (and my leadership!).

..lol, ain't that the truth. And Papa, I'm with your take on this, seeing how the behavior on BC2 is off the dirtbag-o-meter lately. Dollar-sales bring in a new bumpercrop of wonderful folks, don't they? Been hitting the @rule button a lot, but doesn't help teach them much when the majority can't read English. Thank god for HM admins when we can get them. And Papa, thanks for your service there too, you have been consistantly fair and non-selective in your enforcement over the years. Thanks... Nut out

I see where you are coming from and not to talk about how old we get but yes it does seem the younger generation does forget the term "respect"

However, i guess tbaging has been around for so long that's its not surprising when it happens nor do i think it will ever go away. Not that it justifies this however i think we should let it be.

This! When someone does that, I tend to just laugh. I just see that as a punk on the other end trying to feel good about himself. It is way more infuriating to see the red armor (battlefield friends shout out) tons of times rather than a single teabag
