Although minimalistic when it comes to map games and design this map is a classic on Jailbreak. Many players including myself enjoyed playing this map and im not too sure why it was initially removed. This map would constantly be voted on and the server would fill fast and player retention was above average because players like playing maps they are familiar with, such as vipinthemix or obama, regardless of it lacking variety in map games.

Please consider adding this map to the nomination pool. Thanks for reading.

EDIT:

RDK has provided us with an updated version. Thanks dude!

I really enjoyed this map on other servers, I think we should have it on ours.

Along with like 10 other cool and unique maps that have yet to be added in the last 5 months since the merge...

but eh, who cares nowadays

Sorry for taking midterms? I've been a bit busy.

Ed;
If I wasn't super occupied with work and colldge I'd be quicker at these but they're not readily brought to my attention so I never see them. Uploads are determimed by Cs Leadership, not Tech.

I have yet to see a SINGLE post with a list of maps that need to be changed..

I personally do not have the time to sift through Suggestions, Bugs, Leadership forums, CS forums, YM Forums for maps.

As a Level 1 person, that you applied for which obviously by your attitude you don't care. You would understand that Hey, maybe I should compile a list to make it easier for Tech so they don't have to sift through 100 places... hmmmm That is what a good help desk person would do, and shouldn't be told to do it... Can you do that job?

Since we don't care and you don't care. If you find the time and you want to actually be helpful and drop the attitude.

Make a list and put it in the link above.

Thanks.

Edit: So I guess i misinterpreted the sticked post. Its just for reporting current map issues. Sorry for the confusion :l

I appreciate you making a High Priority stickied post for map suggestions. I understand that there are more important issues to look into. We are all volunteers at this community and tech or leadership should not be blamed for the delay on map suggestions. We each have a life and our own personal interests.

If I may bring up a suggestion, back in pG there was a division in Tech, aside from mappers/coders, named Server Specialist. Basically our duties were to sift through suggested maps and provide a list to leaderships on maps that should or shouldn't be implemented.

Testing maps and finding bugs/issues is much easier with a group of players experienced with either gameplay or mapping. Just thought you'd be interested.

Here is an old post to give an example of what I did as a Server Specialist for Jailbreak >> https://www.prestige-gaming.org/threads/61098/
To give an example of how I, with the help of others, organized suggested Jailbreak maps >> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NLsFNhWxHWZFDAqbKjyrHcibA470I8UToWOU_dpnvWE/edit

I don't think we should make it as intense with a whole applications process or make it a part of the Tech division but maybe set up a formal group testing to reduce the the time it takes to implement or deny a suggested map.

We had this in eGO as well for Jailbreak. Someone to help ensure quality maps were added that adhered to the eGO Code of Conduct, Jailbreak rules, specific requirements for Jailbreak maps, how enjoyable they were for both sides, and how balanced they were with eGO Jailbreak rules and average bronze league skill level players.

Yes please

v3a by RDK is on the FTP already, that can easily be moved to the server fyi. It has a bit more than the old version (canyondam_go)

This actually reminds me, the current version on the ftp has an areaportal issue in certain double doors. In some cases, the areaportal will fail to open when the door set takes damage, causing a graphical bug. I'll work on getting an update up tomorrow.

If we end up play testing this before it goes on the server, can someone pls hmu. I've missed canyondam.
