What is the story behind your name?

[Kyuu]

Played a lot with the name nine but got confused with others. Wanted to stand out a little bit so went with Kyuu (nine) and to be funny sometimes I add tips at the end of it. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk!

[ducks]

I like ducks.

[URATIE]

Irish surname

[Hero]

i was really into legend of zelda, especially hyrule warriors. my original name on xbox was something alongside the idea of kings and gods, then when I started playing fortnite with friends, i used the name chosen (as in the chosen one) to keep a relatively similar theme, then that turned into hero when i started playing hypixel and steam games.

[GracieTheCat]

So, I keep asking people why they chose their names and I was thinking why not make a thread about it so that I dont need to annoy the hell out of people anymore.

Let's start off with my name. I chose United Airlines because it was a meme a while ago. It was meant to be my name for a month or two until the meme died but I kept it.

Why did you choose your name?

I had a cat named Gracie, and since I didn't like "Not_that_Girl", I may as well name it after my cat.

[V3N0M]

Because duh.... "I AM V3N0M!"

[Queen of Ice]

Mine is queen of ice because people on CSS usually say i'm an ice cold killer sometimes I win 1v6 or 1v8 so I named myself Queen of Ice.

[Jonathan S.]

I made my name years ago from playing tons of TF2. Most my accounts are Dr. Pyronator. Made the name based on the class i loved playing in that game (Pyro)

[Exana]

It's a prefix of spells from my favorite mmorpg that I've been playing since I was 7, Tibia

[ScoutGod_GuruGene]

it's Guru_GenE because GURU$ was our team in esports 2014-2015 and Gene is an alternate spelling of my name. here in EG there's ScoutGod added for the obvious reasons

[candle86]

I'm about to sound old I apologize.

In 1998 I was really enjoying Stargate SG-1, I was 11 and it was really cool, and still is. So I joined the Stargate SG-1 website, I have no idea what my username was now, that was 28 years ago afterall, but I do remember the password was automatically assigned as candle1293smoke, why that stuck I don't remember. But when I joined the Star Trek Chatroom in 1999 I needed a new nickname as I remember my old one was lame. I tried to think about it and went with my lycos username computervulcan but that was taken so I decided on candle since that was in my head, but you had to be 13 to be on the forums, well I was 12, being born in 87, so I went with candle_86 and put my DOB as 3/17/86 instead of 87, and thats how candle86 came to be, it used to be candle_86, but I ditched the underscore in the mid 2010's for some reason long forgotten to time and memory
