As I was writing a reply to Divine Divine 's new map thread, I realized it should be it's own suggestion, so here it is.

For a little bit of context
If we just have an abundance of maps on the server, then favorites will get picked and we will only play 4-7 of those maps on the list leaving about 20+ maps unplayed. Myself and the rest of CS LE have noticed this and begun the process of going through the map list of the servers (Jail and TTT alike) to see what will be removed to make more space.

There is quite a few maps that could be removed from the server that are almost never played and if they are it's maybe MAYBE once a month. Definitely think we could subtract some maps from the server already had a talk with some leadership about the maps that aren't played and hopefully they can be removed and we could have these new maps.

What we could do is every month (or longer, I'm saying a month because it's a good number for most people) we vote on 2 or 3 (maybe more) maps we want added AND vote on 2-3 (maybe more) we want removed for the month. Because then we can get a fresh map rotation while also getting new maps in and then overplayed/undesired maps out.

There can also be a restriction where if a map is voted off then it can't come back into the server for at least 1 new map rotation. This would then take away an overplayed map

This could add a new dynamic to the server by mini-refreshing the server with some new maps every now and then. It also gives players the chance to vote off a map that's overplayed and/or disliked, which it's always a plus when we can make people's time on the server more enjoyable

I have one problem, a lot of the time the underplayed maps would get removed. Certain maps are great but just people don't play them, and people would constantly just vote them to be removed. One good map that doesn't get played: jb_peanut. Some maps that wouldn't get removed would be close quartes. But other than that I don't think this would be a bad idea.

dys dys I really like this idea think it would bring in some more variety in the server, we could possible even remove some of our most played maps occasionally and just try to get the whole server to play on different maps. Think this would bring some great life into TTT that might bring more admins and players to come play on the server.

I think this would be a great idea, but we also have to take into account that some of the more popular maps would on occasion need to be taken away as they will still be the only maps played imo

The point isn't just to remove the overplayed (or strongly disliked) maps, it's to remove the maps people aren't interested in anymore. Maybe a break from not having the map would make people now want certain maps back. This is also just a suggestion, and if it does get implemented, Tech/Who ever would have a say in this would take their own liberties to it

The most popular maps in pG are roughly ranked as follows:

Dojo
Vip
Peanut
Clouds
Obama
Undertale
Avalanche
mlcastle
Spy vs Spy

The most underplayed have already had some other new maps, including Prison_M and Arcade, overtake their total playtime, these underplayed maps include Longstreet, Seascape, Sand, and K1ngPheonix.

Some maps have fallen out of popularity, such as Coldcampus, Mist, Cavern and Parabellum.

Leadership have plans in the works to remove some old maps, and add new ones such as the final release version of Temple Studios, and maps that were very popular on eGO's server. We can expect this to come with Jailbreak 2.0.

HOPEFULLY, they add back moonjail. I think we can all agree it was quite a good map.

I like this.suggestion the experience of new stuff would be great plus new players can also see how underplayed maps are, are like for new players will just vote for a map and ttt people who is there everyday will only take certains maps +3

Something that is similar to this that I've been thinking about is:

1. Lower the time on each map from an hour to 45 minutes. Most of the time the last 10-15 mins of a map is boring for most people because they have already rebelled and all the games have been played at least once and the common games have been played like 5-10 times.

2. Add a 1-3 more map delay before a map can be nominated to be played again. This goes with #1 since maps will be rotating through faster with the shorter map time, and goes along with encouraging variety and people trying new maps.

100% agree with both of these suggestions

At this time we will not be doing something like this, however we can see about doing something similar for the default maps.
