Any competitive teams out there for eGO members? Might be kinda fun to see what some of the talented members can do when working together.

i would be up for joining a competitive team. I might not be the best player but i am a really good teammate :)

I do understand that most people want to have some sort of competitive teams for eGO. Council has made it clear that until further notice we will not be hosting or allowing a competitive team for Team Fortress 2's side of eGO. They have left this open ended though, so maybe they could elaborate a little bit more for you.

Hey its frantic.^ from the CS:S side,

I am the Team Leader of Alpha(one of CS:S's CAL teams). I know that we have CAL going already, but I thought I remembered hearing that the TF2 side had already put a CAL team together? According to this thread so far that seems incorrect?

Anyways, I'm sure you guys will get one soon, if you don't already. Especially since our division has them now. If you guys do have any sort of "L33T" team setting up, you could have tryouts like we do, or just hand select your top players. Just some suggestions? :)

There is no cal team in eGO TF2 yet. . . . We are still thinking about it. . . Please sit tight until further notice :)

Well put my name on this list for a tryout or whatever is going to happen with this. i would love to be on a Competitve team :)

There are a lot of members in eGO and I can see some people getting disgruntled if not chosen. But, if this does go through, i would suggest only eG and eGO or possibly only eGO level members able to play on it. Nothing against e members, but the leadership hasnt had a chance to get to know you guys very much yet. I am sure there are some great people out there, but we really don't need some petty bickering to break this up. All it takes is one bad apply to slip in and the whole idea is shot. I'd rather see the team chosen from established members that they know what to expect from them.

It would be hard to find the "skilled" players considering TF2 has so many classes and different ways to approach each situation, overall skill or just skilled with one class? What would qualify someone :P?

100% with you on this statement Rain.

Coming personally from an e, I agree with rain 100%. The eGO's should definitely be the ones chosen over anyone else. I've been in CAL leagues before for different games, but Team fortress is a little different with such a large variation between classes. Right now on CAL, teams have to register on either 6v6 or 8v8 teams, plus subs I'm sure. I know I won't play, not trying to either, but from past experience I hope this might help.

MOZ

Not to argue, but so far all the members who've expressed interest in a competitive team through this thread are e's.

Don't think its a good idea. Keep the game fun and focused on the community in my opinion!

Ok before this gets to 123123 pages. I'm going to lock it.

No competitive teams until council has fully agreed that we want to go that route.
