Tri-band Gigabit Router Suggestions!

Lately my X6 has been performing poorly. I've done the usual stuff (factory reset, firmware updates, the usual) and I get about half my advertised speeds on any band, no matter the amount of devices I have on the network. Over Ethernet I get the full package, so I'm guessing it has something to do with the router itself. Anyway, I figured it's time to upgrade to something newer as I've had the X6 for a while now. I am currently getting 500 down but will be upgrading to Spectrum's shiny new 960 plan here shortly, so I might as well get a tri-band router that supports those speeds. Anyone here using a tri-band router that they're happy with?

I mean if you really want consistent gigabit speeds all the time over wireless, probably time to not use consumer grade stuff.

1. what is the modem...

The modem is what controls speeds ultimately...
If you have the modem your isp provides you and on your bill if it says rental fee, Then get rid of the fking modem, then go to your local computer store that sells modems, preferably ones that sell arris modems, and get the arris sb8200, its a gigabit modem, that supports DOCSIS 3.1.

2. DONT UPGRADE YOUR ROUTER....
That router is a pretty boss one, and unless your internet package you are paying for is in the multi gigabit speeds "3.2Gbps", then don't upgrade it.

3. inspect the cable to tell which CAT TYPE cable you have....

If you have CAT 6, 6A, and 7, you are good, 7 offers the best rn

If you wanna spend money you could either use a WiFi repeater or use a WiFi signal booster with electricity that plugs into your wall. Or use something like a WiFi hub to spread it out evenly in your home.
