HELP stuttering in game

So all of a sudden my steam games started stuttering when playing and with a few tweaks I got it down a bit but still hard to play, see pic and lower right corner for stats and please give me some pointers. I messed with cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate and rate and it helped a little but just cant get the right tuneup....

I've experienced the rubber band effect on both of my machines the past couple of months. Only happens every once in a while so I just live with it. Seems to do it regardless of machine specs and hardware.. and my connection is gigabit with an average ping on Ava around 15.

Yeah I got an average ping of 30.... rubberband effect lol I like that

Your Lerp was pretty high (40). Mine is 19 I think. I would look at what u said earlier and adjust your rates.

one possibility that we might want to consider, is that it could be one of
the 'server ads' that has loaded in the background. maybe one of them
is causing a conflict in the motd loading page.

i've been playing with the command: cl_disablehtmlmotd
and i've noticed a huge improvement in latency.

i'd been instructed in the past to do cl_disablehtmlmotd 0
but i think that would mean that its "not" disabled.
so might try doing cl_disablehtmlmotd 1

and maybe turn it into a function key:
bind "f9" "cl_disablehtmlmotd 1"

and or maybe insert it into your game.cfg
