Hey guys im looking for a person that know how to make programs.. If u have experecne and actully know what ur doing please fill free to pm, or respwaned to this thanks.

What kind of programing you need, (for what kind of OS, and what kind of applications)?

You're gonna have to be more specific than that.

Any vague ideas about what'll be required in this program? Any specific kind of UI, what kind of work the program is going to do? Any desire for a specific language?

"Programs" range from things that run in DOS to full fledged applications with a fancy GUI. If you don't have a clear idea of what you want, it's going to be hard to get someone to work with you, especially as a full, polished application can take weeks, months, or years of work by a single person to produce.

Yes, I can program windows applications, but Ephyu has a very valid point, you will have to be more specific.

I can also program in most every language, however without a clear idea of what is needed, it will literally be impossible to find out if it is above the work for one person. Also, a lot of people are good with the background parts of the code, but couldn't make a nice looking GUI if their life depended on it (such as myself).

If you only need the program to run on Windows platforms, check out Visual C++. You can download the express edition completely free of charge. It's very simple to create elegant GUIs and add actions to them. If you haven't coded in C++ don't fear, it's almost identical to Java in every way. Both of which are very simple to pick up if you already know C/C++. I'm quite proficient in Java and I was able to write a GUI for a tool at work in Visual C++ in like 2 days.

Well i was waiting to see if anyone would reply to this before i jumped out and siad what it is that im looking for...

So with that said and the questions asked here yall go..

Client based program that will allow people to fill cert en things by categorizes
and then view them, kinda like a database. This program has never been made in the maner of which it is going to be used for, so the only thing i say is u'll have to pull ideas from past programs that are some what close. I know exactly what i want it to do i will give that info to the person that is whiling and has time to do this for me.. Any other info that u need to know u'll have to be more specific about what things mean. I'm not a coder nor programmer so i dont understand the terms.. Thanks guys.

You're still making next to no sense.

What I've gathered is that you want people to be able to fill in some information about god knows what then plug that into a database.

For what? Sounds kinda pointless, just use Access.

You still need to provide a lot more information.

Tex_Cowboy wrote --> Client based program that will allow people to fill cert en things by categorizes <--

The first part I understand but the part after "to" absolutely makes no sense to me. You said there where other programs what produce similar results, can you give examples?

I am looking for a programmer that can make a program based between excel, file-maker pro, and also be able to have pictures uploaded into it. the overall set up of the program will be given to the person that can help me with this.

I know Excel I know Filemaker pro (I use both of them) I think what you want can can be done with excel alone.

not sure exactly what you'll be doing with the software, but have you checked out [link=http://app.blist.com/login]blist[/link]? you may find that it will do what you're attempting to do.

Im using this in my horse business to allow my my wife to input all our data into it and be able to do quick look-ups of our animals and there records.

I think I can help you out. What you need is a simple database (how manny horses are you talking about?). Lets take this subject off-line, so we can discuss this, and see if I can come up with something what fits your needs.

Shoot me an [email protected]

Cheers,
