Yeah most servers are prime only now. Tbh eGO wont make it prime cause they only care about playercount than quality.

ego cares about quality too, just because we are not making our servers prime dosen't mean we dont care about the quality, if you dont like that we are not gonna be prime, thats fine, but how you wrote that we care about player count than quality, sounds like you dont like who ego do things or how we are supporting the servers to be good, just be glad we have the highest player count, and the quality is good too, you just have to see it from another perspective.

EdgeGamers cares a great deal about player quality, not just playercount. If you ever have doubts about this, feel free to come ask any oldie (myself included) how many people they've dutifully admined over the years to uphold the integrity of our servers. EGO is not a moneygrubbing machine seeking ad revenue over all else. We're an entire community that prides itself on the values enumerated within the code of conduct, believing they best facilitate a fun, punk-free gaming environment. Feel free to revisit that code of conduct if you ever have doubts on that, which it is clear that you do.
As someone whose game has been free to play for many years, I can assure you that community servers for free games have the potential to function just as well as those of paid games. Admins may have to readjust, and they can certainly face different challenges... but rest assured, Mayhem Death is working his butt off to guide EdgeGamers CS:GO in the right direction.

Community ran servers have admin tools that mitigate the issues of dealing with bad players. Play on Valve ran servers with no admins like on TF2 and there hackers but thats the case with many games that have community vs official servers.
Just get in TS, ask for an admin, and explain to them what is going on. People eventually get bored and stop making new accounts.

I mean... this was partially true before themerge.... but there are actually some tech members and higherups that care about quality over numbers now.
we are an all-inclusive community. thats what first attracted me to ego back in 2009 when i first started gaming. we dont give a shit who you are, where youre from, your background, race, age, etc. we arent gonna limit our servers to even less of a population just to try and deal with a small amount of hackers wed still get even with prime.

Holy shit this post had like 3 replies before I commented that. But the thing is the hackers that get banned by admins come on alternate accounts. And IP banning does nothing because there are very easy workarounds for that. Half of these senior managers/admins that responded to my post have no room to talk because you don’t get on the server so you don’t know what it’s like

Like I said before any organization with half a brain and a decent leadership team would make their servers prime because the cons outweigh the positives. I know that eGO is a well developed group which is why I am personally disappointed.

Your disappointed that senior admins and junior admins have a life and have to do a bunch of in real life stuff. Also are you saying your disappointed in this community because the server's aren't prime?? If the servers were prime a bunch of new people wouldn't join, that's atleast how I feel like.

I’m curious as to why you think you are the expert on this situation. Are you aware that we as a community have gone through this before with TF2? And at a much larger scale because our servers were involved with something called Quickplay. Hell, judging by your posts our community is probably older than you. Any member with half a brain would know that we know what we are doing.
So before you go attacking any member of this leadership team you better think twice about your actions and their consequences. This has been enacted all of what, a week? You don’t have near enough pheasible data to even begin to make statements like you’re making.

If you were "personally disappointed" you'd either:
A: Keep it to yourself since this was already denied
B: Bring it to leadership in some way shape or form if you really wanted to see this put it
C: Take a break from CS if it's that big of an issue
You made a thread criticizing and calling out leadership on something you know almost nothing about, and then you did it again here; so it really wasn't a personal thing.

Son. We've been through this plenty of times. Our TF2 leadership has been through this before and the servers thrive to this day. We know what we're doing or we wouldn't be here. Thank you for your concern though. Thread closed.
