Demo's in Portal?

Lately, I've been practicing speedrunning in portal, so I kind of want to record my playing and show it to the people in our clan, however, when I type in the portal console "Record Speedrun" nothing happens.

Is there a way to record demos in portal?

i can record demos in Portal

all i typed was

record demo

stop

and it took 3 seconds to show it was recording then stopped when i typed stop
