Check it, your favorite warden here to save the day. Aight so there's a few things you HAVE to do and avoid. They are as follows...
- Don't be cancer - A cancer warden gets rebelling T's at all opportunities due to the fact that he's making T's want to type kill in console. Meaning; avoid major usage of AFK Freeze, crouch walking, cancerous and or boring games like first reaction last reaction and 4 corners.
- Be confident and cheerful - A confident warden is a good warden. People will respect you more if you're laid back and in it for the fun. Try to just find inner peace and don't start stressing, your CT's are there to help out. If anyone gives you shit then don't take it too personal, admins are always out to help so if you have a problem with a player then ask if we can do something about it through admin chat.
- Take suggestions and ideas - Put yourself in the Ts' shoes and think "Hmm.. If I was a T, what do I want to play?". Try to get the T's interested in playing and not rebelling. There'll always be people who will try to rebel, but the number of them will decrease if you let them play what they want to play.
- Special Treatment (ST) - Make sure that you give some St once in a while or offer it, BUT NOT TOO MUCH. Too much St and the T will rebell, 1/2 games of ST freeday within a certain area always works (Talking from experience). Don't go overboard with the ST nor lowball it (3 games freeday, 1 game of St within a marker).
- Have fun - Being CT isn't the funniest position always so try to play some games where you can involve both teams (Knife fights, opinionated games, etc..). Try to find games where both parties have ab equal share of fun, or games that you enjoy watching/montering. Being warden is like going to the movies, hanging out with friends, it's a fun activity that you should have fun and feel comfortable with.
To summarize it; have fun, don't be too much of an ass, throw a bone to your teammates once in a while and chill.
If you have any issues then any admins will answer them to the best of their capabilities, that goes for your fellow CT's as well. Hope this helps a little. Love seeing people interested in being a good warden, there are so many toxic wardens out there and fighting toxicity with toxicity won't work.
