Bad Company 2 Pbans/Kicks From BC2

I went in to play this morning and I was kicked from server for wall hack. I tried to re-enter server and it stated this was an Admin decision. Guys I've been playing BF since it first came out and have never used any cheat. I was playing yesterday 12/24 and muckles was in and he killed me behind a building with 1 shot and I asked him how he knew I was there, he replied, lucky shot. That was good enough for me so I spawned at main and went to C flag, then all of a sudden I couldn't get out of jeep and my man started going crazy I saw the enemy and next thing I know my man couldn't move and I was killed. Why was there an Admin kick on me? I couldn't cheat even if I knew how.

Hi Paycek. I was also kicked before even being able to play. Something to do with punkbuster and a permanent ban?!?! I sent in a request contesting it. Hopefully it's just a glitch. Bummer it's on Christmas. Cheers. Dirk McGirk

PB gone nuts

Past couple of days PB has gone looney toons, it has PB banned a few of our regulars and it is my firm belief none of these guys are at fault

This is not the case. If you were banned by PB Bans (which it sounds like from the message he is getting), the appeal needs to be done on their end. eGO has no control over it. It seems like a few people are having issues with PB.

Now it's giving me a new message, saying I'm "kicked for 1200 minutes...PBBans.com enforced a previous MBi Ban for Dirk McGirk. [Admin Decision]." Confusing. I sent in a contest request, and also reinstalled punkbuster. It's like getting a lump of coal in my stocking, lol.

I recall this happening on another game before too. Let's hope it's just a glitch, but it does seem to be affecting quite a few people.

I also have noticed regulars being kicked by punkbuster.

I got trapped by this glitch as well. Very unfair. I'm a very regular skilled player with a very old game account. No reason for this to happen.

Have had several players putting in Contest Bans for this, there is nothing we can do, it is a PBbans problem. You can go hershttps://www.pbbans.com/appeal_ban.php and appeal the ban and see what is going on. Sorry that we cannot help.

Uninstall and click to install, then in punkbuster exe, add the game, battle bad field of company 2, luck ...

Super frustratingl I sent a ban contest request to punkbuster, haven't heard back. Doing a clean reinstall of both BFBC2 and punkbuster, we'll see. Merry christmas from punkbuster, right?

An update: I have yet to receive a response from PB or Evenbalance (holidays?). My roommate, with a completely separate Steam account, bought the game under her account and tried to play. It still logged in as Dirk McGirk and kicked me. This was after a complete uninstall, reinstall of both BFBC2 and punkbuster. I tried using a VPN to no avail. I'm posting this so (a) people can see what I've tried so they don't have to waste their time trying and (b,) in case a more computer savvy reader has any other suggestions. Thank you eGo members for your feedback. Hope to get back to playing soon!

I believe that PB works on a combination of GUID and IP.

If your roommate used your computer but logged in on their steam account, since the game is not tied to Steam directly (unlike Source games, etc) it may have used your installation and the serial key you used to install, which I believe would cause that.

Just looking at latest PB bans for BC2 - they are all the same "wallhack". There is definitely something not right here. I am wondering if PB is mistaking another process running on computers as a "wallhack." Sadly it's all in their hands though...

Hllo guys, I thought it was just me that was having issue joining the server I've also tried joining diff. servers but I get result saying I got banned for wallhack/admin decision It looks like PB has been having issue!
