Does playing a lot of JB decrease your skill in CS. Before coming to jb I was hitting headshots and flicks like it was nothing and I got to GN 3. But after I’ve deranked into silver and I’m practically garbage at the game. I can do a bunch of bhops and get crazy knife kills though.

Idk maybe it’s just me. I’ve gotten much better now.

I mean it depends on what you are looking for in ranked?
To bhop and get knife kills or actually get kills with ak/weapon.
My opinion is that if you have like hg or some sort of weapon shooting activities on jb it will make you better but if you just jump around and knife it will make you decrease your skills in ranked bc in ranked you have like team playes/ aiming / game sense and all that.

I stopped playing ranked for good. But in my opinion over the months I've been playing CSGO I think my aim has improoved. I do have a lot of days where I simply just can't aim and die soo many times. But whenever I'm in my good days I do get some good clips. JB can really help out with bhoping and over all movement. Not to sure about aim, it all depends. You can practice your aim in situations where when you're rebeling YOU have to kill most of the CT's and rely on your team mates to take a CT's gun and kill other CT's while you distract them. In does situations you rely on your aim for the most part. You might also know some tricks, like for example on clouds you might have that stone secret and you have find a spot and stay there hoping nobody notice's you. Then whenever the warden comes out you blast him in the face.

If anything your aim should improve but I guess I see why it could lower. Probably due to the fact that T’s have no armor so it only takes like 3 body shots to kill instead of ~4 and it’s more lenient to miss shots vs comp

Just decided to add this. When playing comp you know where to prefire and things like that.

I stayed in silver the entire time I played jailbreak and didn't get any better. Then I stopped (and started to play osu) and I ranked up to MGE.

I'd say JB doesn't degrade exactly, but if you don't get enough practice when playing JB because you aren't always shooting people. So you won't improve, but you might slightly decay your skill over time.

and osu helps Kappa

jail and ranked are two different atmospheres.

so i do strongman competitions. i dead lift 825 pounds, atlas stones, etc.

if i started to change my regiment to crossfit, i would become weak as ****.

its kinda like that..in Jail, you're trying to learn the minigames and be good at all that shit..in ranked..you're working as a team..tactical playing, etc.

I played JB a lot and got the same results, degrading skill. So eventually I stopped for a while and eventually ranked up to MGE!
If you're serious about increasing your comp rank you shouldn't focus just on comp entirely, warm up servers and aim training maps are really useful tools.
And I also found that playing R6S improved my aim, I'm not sure how but I'd warm up on that for an hour and then have better head shots in competitive??

ive played cs for 6k hours, easily 4k of it being jb, and ttt, and my aim is still shit.

i dont think it affects aim. but it certainly affects gamesense and how you play. takes a while to get back into the comp mindset and ideas after playing fun gamemodes for so long.
