Makes a lot of sense. Metallica is the most requested band for rockband and guitar hero.

There was another metallica game that was announced around 2003 that was supposed to come out in 2005. It was a rip-off twisted metal game inspired by and staring metallica. It never saw shelves because it didn't live up to the developers, vivendi I think, standards.

As for me playing it..... I can't play guitar hero to save my life. I'm too used to the real thing.

Bleh, Guitar Hero needs to fade away. With Rock Band, you can just download the songs. If you ask me that's what they should start doing and stay doing.

That way you get exactly what you want.

Probably actually cheaper to keep buying a new game for $50 and get 50 songs instead of downloading 50 soungs for $100. Yet i am a sucker for rock band and have around 100 songs. haha

I'm very glad they're making this! I love Metallica so much, I just wish they had more songs I could play. This is great!

I like Rock Band's consistent DLC release, but the game started out with fewer songs so in the end it costs a lot more. It's good to have options, though. GH needs more frequent DLC updates and a slick music store like Rock Band does. The thing is, I prefer GH's guitar mechanics over Rock Band's.

Yeah Rammstein would be awesome too! Or perhaps Slayer. The thing is, a whole disc of those or Metallica would be full of extremely difficult songs, so the newbies had better stay away or get GH3 first.
