Okay folks, so I'm going to admit here and now I'm an MMO fan, and look forward to this release with MUCH anticipation. I just purchased the pre-order for the collector's edition, which gets me guaranteed access to open beta, an early start code BEFORE the game's released, and special items not available to others.

So here's the question: who else is stoked for this, and what character are you planning on starting first? It's okay, closet MMO-ers, this is a safe place. :D

Personally, I'm hovering around the ideas of a Squig herder, Chosen, Ironbreaker, Knight of the Blazing Sun, Witch hunter, Black Guard, or Marauder.
 
Eh, I was looking forward to it.. Then I decided against putting all that time into another MMORPG. I played UO for ten years.. Enough for me :D
 
I'm not anticipating it, but I do look forward to it and I know that I'm going to try it.. I just don't know if its going to be as good or addictive as WoW. I'm going to roll on the side of Chaos though, mainly 'cause they look cool and their talents and spells look promising.
 
I dunno, WoW has been my demon for three years, and while I admire the warhammer universe for it's gritty unrealism, I just wonder if it will beat out instant level 55 deathknight.

I'll still try it, the concept of a chaos marauder is too good to resist, but it may be an on-the-side thing for me.
 
I'll buy it and give it a run, but it seems that all the other MMO's I try fall by the wayside after a month or two and I keep gravitating back to WoW...

Warhammer world is awesomeeeeeeeeeee,lawl xD better than WoW world
 
I played Gemstone for 10+ years...and would still be playing if not for time/budget constraints right now. My account is currently on hold. Text-based MMORPG's are SOOO much better than WoW ::cough::
 
Warcraft was based on warhammer (dont want to start an argument just stating the obvious facts)

I thought it was already out, I dont care much though. Talk to me when the 40k version comes out and I can destroy darkea as a tyranid warrior.
 
If I decide to buy this (most likely will) I'm going to roll a Dwarf; Engineer appeals to me the most.
Dwarf has always been my favorite fantasy race.
 
WAR will be nothing like WOW. The WAR producers (Mythic Entertainment) built probably the best model for PvP MMOG gaming with DAoC and are sticking to that with WAR. This game will be developed around PvP (realm vs realm) combat. This game is more like an FPS with a storyline than an MMOG.
 
i wonder if your going to have to pay for it? anyway iif i get it i will be a chaos champion xD cos CHAOS OWNES
 
I ordered my CE a long time ago. In fact, I think it was the first 2-3 days after CE was announced. I am ready to play whenever it comes out just like Moose. Now, all I need is the beta key... :P
 
I'm so rolling engi when this comes out. The RvR is so awesome, being the main point of the game; i don't have to worry about Raid/ Guild hours like in WoW. *Drool* *Drool* *Drool* Please say my computer can handle it (it is terribly old hand me down).
 
i am all ready for it, I preordered it awhile ago and me and a group of friends already know who we are going to be. Chaos Maurader for me. Was going to be a bright wizard till we turned to the dark side. If you want a good MMO with little to no grinding check out Dungeon and Dragons Online Stormreach, very customizable characters and all you really do is raid dungeons.
