Member of the Year 2018: Leadership, Summer
Stepping up as a Manager early in 2018 and now serving as a Senior Manager, Summer has been an instrumental part of the Grand Theft Auto Leadership team. Summer drove results in our event Coordinator program in building a new team and encouraging the creation of fun exciting events. When important and difficult tasks are at hand, Summer rises to the occasion. Taking on a development role on top of her existing responsibilities, Summer took to the drivers seat of our server reset project. Without her help, the reset would not have been done as quickly and as well as it was. For her dedication, willingness to help wherever needed and all around kindness, we are proud to present the Leadership Member of the Year to Summer.
Member of the Year 2018: Member Services, HELPLESS GLINT
Although this recognition may come to a surprise to this member, his hard work and dedication as a part of Member Services has not gone unnoticed. Spending the last couple years as an active part of Member Services, this year mainly as a Senior Manager, he has contributed in numerous ways. Helpless has kept Member Services prominent in EdgeGamers through his leadership, kindness, and his willingness to help others. For his dedication as a processor, recruitment coordinator, trainer and a leadership member, we’d like to congratulate Helpless Glint in achieving Member of the Year for Member Services.
Member of the Year 2018: Battlefield, KPTSR918
KPTSR918 has become a part of the Battlefield and the eGO family as a friendly and familiar voice on TeamSpeak, welcoming everyone that enters the channel often by first name. He is a dedicated admin and member that is willing to listen to others and help in any way he can. His conduct and actions in server and in chat embody the qualities that eGO and Battlefield want the gaming public to see from our players. It is with great pleasure that we award this years Member of the Year to KPTSR918.
Member of the Year 2018: Counter-Strike, CtrlAltDelicious
Ever since CtrlAltDelicious (previously known as SheToldMeSheWas18) became a member of EdgeGamers, he has gone above and beyond the call of duty. He continually reported problem players in our wild-west’esque server CS:S Dust2 and even suggested us getting an IP tracker for admins (even though he would not be able to have access to it). Once he was given his eG/eGO, he has shown everyone (not just CS admins) what it truly means to be a professional and mature admin for us. He bought CS:GO to spread his infectiously positive personality to all those here in CS while also bestowing his knowledge of how to be a true gentleman. His Ban Notes/Ban Requests are something that are a thing of beauty that we praise dearly. We could not think of a person more befitting of having such a high honor. With that, we are elated to present CtrlAltDelicious with this years Member of the Year award.
Member of the Year 2018: Day of Defeat, Simon
Simon has been a dedicated member of EdgeGamers for 8 years. In that time, he has been a shining star. Simon doesn’t hesitate to help whenever possible, including stepping up in Day of Defeat and Member Services this year. He has always taken the time to help new members in our community and makes sure our forum and servers stay punk free and running smooth. When asked to step up and lead, he did not hesitate to say yes. Simon embodies everything that this community was founded on. Honor, loyalty, and integrity. It is with great honor that we extend the Day of Defeat Member of the Year award to Simon.
Member of the Year 2018: Garry’s Mod, Mama Bear
In a time when our Garry’s Mod servers were experiencing lower population, Mama Bear was the driving force behind the surge in server activity. She frequently fills our servers, encourages other members and has made an impact on server activity and popularity throughout the past several months. Mama Bear is also a go-to source of help for all members and does her best to resolve any issues that anyone may be having. Whether they be admins or members, she’s always available for assistance. It is the honor of Garry’s Mod leadership to present the Garry’s Mod Member of the Year to Mama Bear.
Member of the Year 2018: Grand Theft Auto, Blaziken
Blaziken has been a valued criminal since the server launched, going back to the days where active game play was exclusively in Paleto Bay. Throughout the last year, he has done various jobs in Emergency Services and took ownership the Mechanics when new ownership was needed. He has continued to be a dedicated member and admin to our community. We are glad to announce through his dedication and loyalty toward eGO and Grand Theft Auto that Blaziken is awarded the Grand Theft Auto Member of the Year.
Member of the Year 2018: Minecraft, Tea
Tea is one of the most dedicated people in eGO today. Tea has spent countless hours balancing the Minecraft economy and spent extensive time mining a specific block for a minor statistic. No matter the server population, you will always see her reporting critical issues, having fun, and making the server a better place. She is not one to back down from her ideas and will say things with brutal honesty, no matter the circumstance. As an Event Coordinator, she is dedicated to her role not only hosting great events, but also coming up with new and improved events. For those closest to her, the sheer amount of time and effort she puts into her work does not go unnoticed. It is with great honor we present Tea with the Minecraft Member of the Year.
Member of the Year 2018: Team Fortress 2, TheUnderDog
In a dynamic year for Team Fortress 2, this member has been the constant. Filling servers, encouraging others on TeamSpeak and stepping up where no one else would, this member managed to ingratiate himself with members of every supported game. He has certainly proven himself invaluable to the entire community. Once becoming an Event Coordinator and carrying our events team with firm dedication, TheUnderDog earned this Member of the Year recognition many times over. Thank you Underdog, for keeping Team Fortress 2 in check.
