Probably the easiest solution that is often recommended is to grab an admin in TS3 when this is going on. The situation can be dealt with live while it happens. We do understand your frustration, however, yes, it is a team effort. Admins do have BC2 installed and can hop in.

1.) im OK with baserape, if winning team owns all flags (at least is soon over). so no ban requests from on this one
2.) griefing is not an issue (at least not big one). There is only one probleatic player and admins are not able/willing to get rid of him..

When you have a very linear map, such as HM, baserape is inevitable. It happens in Locker, it happens in Metro. The main thing that needs to be focused on is firing into the uncap unprovoked. To take out the enemy team while they are in uncap and just spawned when they are not firing upon you is against the rules.

Also, griefing is an issue. It can drive a playerbase away from a server. Combined with the dwindling playerbase (and servers) for BC2, not to mention the popularity of our server, we must do what is necessary to protect the integrity of the server, otherwise, it can go bye bye. Admins are aware of the issues on the server and are doing their best to rectify the problem areas, however, there's no harm in having it be a communal effort.

In my personal experience, real-time administration is a temporary and ineffective solution. Players cause trouble, get warned or kicked, meet their daily "quota," and are back at it again within a few days. Posting ban requests is a way of documenting and enforcing the "1-3-day, 7-day, 1-month, permanent ban" policy eGo has. In-game admins don't remember or care enough to make forum ban requests on our behalf for repeat offenders. After all, to them, offenders are a minor nuisance since they can take care of them instantaneously. They will never know what it's like for us regular players to deal with repeat-offenders for entire rounds.

EDIT:

There are exceptions, of course. I've known admins who kicked/banned in-game and said they would post on the forums, asking for extended bans. In my honest opinion, if any in-game admin learns that the person in question is a repeat-offender (the regulars on the server always point this out), this admin should do his thing in-game and follow up on the forums.

1. A weak team that had all its flags captured should not suffer more by being spawn-raped at their home base
2. Griefers target very specific players — pilots mostly. It may not be an issue for you if you play infantry, but an insistent griefer, KING Trump for example, will cripple and change the outcome of rounds, as well make players leave

Not to take anything away from the OP's subject, but the bigger issue with dwindling players on BFBC2 right now is the PB bans. I've given up on the game, and am playing BF4. I miss the game, but there doesn't appear to be anything we can do. Over 100 players, some long timers like me, are on the list.

I am an ingame admin and I play everyday. I know the regular players, the regular offenders including those I have W/K/tB in the past. I read the server chat before I go ingame, at other times as well and generally know whats going on.

I have been privileged, given an admin position, because eGO thinks I have common sense and have been given RULES to admin by. There are fair players and those that chose to not follow the rules. Admin seem to be in the server to point out that not obeying the rules can take some of your playtime fun away. Admin do not have an all seeing eye, we cannot stop everyone's trespasses. We are in the game to play, just as you are.

There are too few admin in game now. More old time player[not just old ones like me] are coming back and maybe they will become admin, or maybe you! Take the time to post ban requests when there are no admin around, honestly, it does good! When admin are in the game, realize that they are there to play and will help when they see a problem and give a warning. Names are most helpful when someone continues to be afoul of the rules.

Thank you Slickster and all who have responded........ Baserape, griefing, disruption are AGAINST the rules...........period. Simple rules for simple minds. It doesn't get any clearer that these rules have been "designed" to protect the players in game and the server's reputation as a decent place to park it.. It just seems that sometimes the inmates are running the prison on BC2HM lol........ and it's really getting old but keeping tabs on dipsticks who have numerous ban requests and perma-banning them seems like a no-brainer. I have always understood "it's about the numbers" (keeping the server populated) but by allowing the trash back in just sends good players elsewhere. The admins that have been here for years are tired of not being heard, accused of things that are not true and then demoted and made to do re training. I'm over it. 52 being treated like i'm 18. I dropped my tags after many many years of Bfbc2 admining. Leadership should be supporting the old timers that are regulars and have kept the game alive.

I just think that only more administrators are missing, lately I see few administrators in the game.
The lack of administrators generates chaos in the server.

I often play on the server, and yes the admins are less present these last time. The ban requests are easy yes, but during a game, the presence of an admin remains the most effective.

just wanted to say I miss you povt warbear, DIrk and Free and others. cant believe this Ban bs. I haven't been playing since December for this reason. And as for baserape and the like, i think admin kick/ban powers should be given to 5-10 of the regulars, that should do it.
