My Suggestion:
Add a pinned thread in the Counter-Strike forum with a guide on how to warden. We should add tips and tricks on how to warden properly and efficiently. Possible explain certain commands, such as !pass, !w, !sd, !peace and any other commands that there is. I think that should be some tips on how to avoid delaying the round ( For example, instead of getting the t's to unstack in between two markers and face a specific way and look a specific way the warden should just tell them to get to a marker and from there on go to a game).

Why?
I think it helps new players understand that you don't have to be cancer to get to lr or to get a CT win. As a warden you just have to think twice over what you're doing and try be efficient and not waste time with unstacking players because one person is red. If a new player get's warden they usually just ask a bunch of questions while wardening. They don't know how to place down a marker and what to do, usually the warden just dies within the next two minutes and the round is over. They probably later on notice that they can be toxic just to reach lr or to get a CT win. They just ruin the fun for others so they can numbers on the scoreboard or to just so they can say "CT win, soo easy".

This is just a suggestion so at the end of the day it could get denied.

Rules are sufficient enough to get a very general idea of how to warden.

Additionally, by the time they get on guard consistently or start queuing for warden consistently, they should have enough experience to warden by themselves.

There are an infinite amount of ways to warden, from games to controlling the Ts, the best way to start off wardening is to watch and learn and from there start putting yourself out there by starting to queue for it. If there were a single unified guide on how to warden, wardening would be the same action over and over again and the server would eventually stale if it were to be implemented, but those are just my thoughts on it.

I think this guide should just be a basics guide for new players. Ues you can watch and learn but once you queue for that warden and your in that sticky position. Where you got a rebeler in stack, your marker placement is slow, you dont know the rules perfictely and your trying not to freekill aswell than it's not that easy. It's just pure chaos.

Every warden has there own way of wardening. Either it be by playing non map games most of the time, cancer/fun or by calling a special day. I don't think wardening would get boring.

Yes there is an infinite amount of controlling T's but this is just the basics. What you as a new warden most probably should do. Every warden does things differently, if you try and watch another warden controll the T's his way than it won't be easy for you to warden his way.

+1 also there are many people who are scared to take warden, because they never have tried it. I believe there should be a video or something to make ct's that usually dont take warden more comfortable with taking it.

Make a guide and if people think its good they will link to it. No one stopping you from doing so. You do not have to be leadership nor an admin to make a guide. We have plenty of guides made, but as people move on, the guides get left behind and thus no one uses them.

I mean we got these

Rogue's Guide
RDK's Guide
Now these were made for the old EGO Jail server so keep that in mind but I mean most stuff probably still applies.

But, in my opinion, learning how to be warden through your own mistakes is way more enjoyable and fun than just reading rules or guides.

Yes, true you can learn from your mistakes. But I don't see a new player learning from their mistakes. I just think it should be a pinned thread for new players, same with the introductions to new players in my opinion.

Ok sure, but if players aren't going to read the rules and learn how to warden, what are the odds they're going to go read ANOTHER post specifically about being the warden, when all of the basics were covered in the rules thread? Not a bad suggestion by any means, just a bit unnecessary in my opinion.

All? So how to avoid rebelers and other stuff as well. I understand the point you're making but I think you could add someone new and pm them something like "Yo, I noticed your new to being a CT/warden, I recommend reading this post which explaines the basics of wardening".

+1

I think a good post dictating all the commands and such for being warden and tips explaining some better ways to warden without getting rebellers while also not being cancer could be a good idea. Most of it is usually just trying to get a feel for it, but when I started (like two weeks ago or something), I had no idea what I was doing and had a lot of rebellers. A guide to being warden could help new players get eased into being warden.

We have some, and as stated above you can make your own. There is no need for one to be written by leadership or an admin unless they want to do so on their own. A pub being linked a guide, doesn't mean they'll read it even if its written by a leadership member or admin.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force it to drink.

The idea is nice, there is a guide part of the forums (if I remember correctly) where you can write a guide on it. It isn't a definite way to do things, but if you feel inclined to write a guide then by all means go ahead. Just make sure it is in the right place of the forums and that it is accurate (no troll post please).

Cheers!
