Warning Signs of Cheating

Here are some useful advice to watch out for if you suspect someone is cheating. Unless the suspect is blatant (i.e. getting 100% headshots across the map running sideways with an automatic weapon), then one is required to submit demos for the Leadership of eGO to review.

I will be, unfortunately, away from being able to play DOD for a few days so I will be unable to record any evidence. But if anyone of you play over the next few days the player to watch out for is ╾━╤デ╦︻ RoGuE ᶠ. The suspect's GameMe page is located at this link.

Click on Sessions to see the following game data:

1) On 12/23/18 the Suspect's game resulted in a negative kill/death score. This is perfectly normal for a complete beginner. The suspect got 47 kills over 53 minutes which equates to 0.89 kills per minutes, which is below average.

2) On 12/28/18, just five days later, the Suspects game, including the next three gaming sessions, resulted in not only a positive kill/death score but a ratio which is higher than average. This is quite suspicious already. To add to this suspicion the kill/minute rate increased to about 1.4 kills per minute, which is now above average.

3) On 1/17/19 and onwards the suspect manages to achieve a 2.00 kill/death ratio. A kill/death ratio above 2.00 is usually not achievable for an overwhelming majority of players in the game unless they are camping. Only a few regulars on eGO are capable of achieving that ratio without camping. The suspect is not only camping but now manages to achieve a kill/minute rate of over 2.00 kills/minute. This is an exceptionally high kpm rate.

4) On 1/17/19 the suspect's headshot rate is almost 40%. A number which is almost impossible to achieve on normal fair play, and this is coming from my experience of looking at DOD stats for almost 5 years. The suspect's headshot rate is well above 30% on 1/04/19. This number is again highly suspect. (In my experience, the highest normal headshot rate is around 26%, and maybe sometimes 28%, but 30% is almost never achieved, mainly because the weapons in the game are random, so even with perfect aim, one cannot order to bullets to hit the head.)

Again. I am not saying this suspect is cheating automatically. But my stat knowledge of DOD immediately raising a lot of warning signs that something is not right. If any of you are going to be playing tomorrow, or over the next few days, please go into spec and record this player for approximately 5 minutes. Thank you for your help.

This is not true. I play on the server all the time and I am a big DOD-statistics follower. I always check new players who are better than average, or show very rapid increase in skill. These warning-sign statistics are very rare.

There are some new accounts that were previously banned. However, the admins do ban those new accounts if they can find connections to the old banned account.

This is also untrue. I have submitted many video evidence to the eGO Leadership about players I know who are cheating. Those players have been banned from the game. Contrary to what you hear on the server, Leadership takes cheating on their server very seriously. The only reason why regulars on eGO repeat the myth that eGO does not ban cheaters is because the better players, who they suspect are not playing fairly, are unbanned, so the regulars develop the thought, and incorrect one, that eGO Admins do not take care of the cheating problem.

If you had access to Leadership forums, which you do not, you will see just how many videos were send to them, and how many of the players got banned. Just because this is not openly discussed on the server does not mean that Leadership does not address this.

I have been involved in many different DOD severs. eGO are very responsible in addressing cheating on their server, and responsible in not banning more skillful players since their Leadership team has understanding of how to check for cheating.

if yur gunna quote me do so correctly ,i never mentioned once anything about ego and what they do i know they have there work cut out for them ,ive never heard anyone in game talking about negitivly about them ,most people just know whats happening and are just not connecting or disconecting when said players are on or like me just forgeting about it and enjoying the game

I've seen this person play before and I also suspected the same. There is always a batch of hackers that come on in the early morning on the Cs:s Dust2 server, always by different names but always simple like bob, chris etc etc
