Bad Company 2 Pb bans

Hello guys,
well, its been a month now since i was banned from ego and other servers. I still don't know why except several other good honest players have been banned too. Submitted a ticket to pb weeks ago but unable to get this issue resolved, very slow people over there. Has anyone had any luck with this and have you found out what the problem is??? PB won't do a damned thing as they stand behind their bans, I for one do not believe several of the bans(yours included) were correct, I no longer get onto BC2 unless I have for fear of getting banned and in protest of at least six of you that I feel were falsely accused

The only thing I have heard is that they will look at any program that could interfere with PB. I gave them a small list to start with. I have read that in the past, game overlays have affected PB but I don't have those.

I've been lurking these threads and I wonder if it has something to do with other servers you visited? I know you're a vagabond so maybe you and the other guys hit the same hacked server or something one night? It's a pretty wide-spread ban that seemed to happen around the same time, and it wasn't long after the entire system was down for a while. I know I roamed around a little until eGO came back up again....they weren't among the first to be accessible.

I don't know how PB works their algorithm, but maybe sites get flagged for harbouring hackers (or whatever) and your gameid/ip gets tagged if you log on there to play. I dunno, but it might explain the high number of identical violations and the seemingly random application of player bans. Some of them are just so obviously in error.

I have to second that. There is just no way the bans for FREEMAN, Dirk and some of the others are legitimate. It's kind of ironic, actually; if someone asked me who's the least likely to use hacks, they'd be on top of the list. It's unfortunate.

Yeah, PB is standing behind their bans, and not only in BC2, they are hitting BF3 and BF4 also. Don't know what the hell they are doing, but they sure as hell are doing it. No help in sight as of now, sorry.

Free...... You've been missed (along with the others experiencing this dilemma) in game. A lot of the regulars are asking me why you have been banned, "what did he do?" (lol but not funny). I have been directing them to this Edge forum (it amazed me that a couple regulars had no idea this place exists). Like i mentioned somewhere earlier here, this PB thing has had repercussions all over the map. The link to a PB page someone posted was pretty eye-opening. I can only wish you and all the other goodguys the best of luck getting this all remedied.... It's nice to know you're missed in life i say! ......Nut out

Hey...FYI.....up-date: Free, i saw your name for a half second yesterday afternoon appear on HM server screen while i was in game....(as if you had just joined or attempted to come in)... then you disappeared (probably the PB crap kicking in/ kicking out...) Just thought i'd let you know this info...... best of luck, keep on it, we miss all you guys who are stuck with this glitch.......Nut out

Hi, FREEMAN. I'm one of those who got falsely blacklisted by PB. The right forum to ask for help is not the PB forum, but the Evenbalance support website. Go to their site:

Click on support option menu, and let them know that you, as a regular player, has been unfairly blacklisted.

I've submitted a ticket and got two answers till now. My first contact was 31st dec LOL. They are really too slow to help. The guy who is looking into my issue just ask me to send him the PB log generated when I try to log in any server. I did this and now I'm waiting for his reply.

Hey all. I share in the frustration of this issue. Just an FYI, I obtained another license through my roommate's account yet continued to have the same issue. A reply on another thread told me it's likely because my roommate and I use the same computer. I've contacted both pb and evenbalance and have yet to hear a reply. It's ironic that this issue began on Christmas...merry Christmas to us, right? Anyway, I miss gaming with you all and hopefully one of us will get a positive response from Evenbalance. Cheers!

So we need directions because buying another copy of the game will just expose ourselves to be unfairly banned again.

Still trying to wrap my mind around their reply, MrGoy. By the looks of it, based on what they're saying, it's possible that your ban could have originated anywhere, not necessarily in BFBC2. EGO for example streams directly to PBBANS (and others), but so are many other servers in different games. So if you got banned on any of the other games/servers that is part of PBBANS' network, the ban will propagate to BCBC2. But it's weird because your violation seems to be BFBC2-specific (violation #62002) so how COULD it have originated elsewhere. Is someone understanding this differently?

The other problem is that the 3rd party websites clearly state that they cannot do anything about GUID bans (global) and it's Even Balance's responsibility, but isn't your ban a GUID ban? It says Even Balance Violation (as opposed to other violations like MD5, etc.):

EDIT: Also worth noting is that they implement "silent logs" or "silent bans," so the violation could have happened long before the ban was implemented.

I think that what caused the false detection in my case was a software installed in my system which should record the screen and generate a video file as output. Ban came out after I have installed this software. But I removed it because it was just adware junk. Maybe that software used some blacklisted dll. Even so, the detection was a false positive. My only reasonable option is never buy a game which uses PB as an anticheat system again.

This is the wild Internet environment: no warranties, no real faces to punch, no responsabilities. Just my money and their happiness. I'm done with that.

......a clean machine is a happy machine.... why some of you folks load all these apps into your rigs is beyond me , but then again I'm the only guy on earth who hasn't bought into the smartphone up-yer-ass in-your-face intrusion crap.
