The Pacifica (tele version) is a decent sounding guitar.
A friend of mine picked it up for his daughter and I was surprised at how good it sounded. When his daughter bought a Les Paul the following year - he hated that since he was a Fender guy

- he kept it as a spare for himself.
This is a guy who is a collector that knows his stuff. He's got about 14 guitars at last count. All Fenders for the most part, some dating back from the 60's. I know my stuff too, having been playing for the last 40 years.
The Pacifica isn't bad. Going by a standard brand name like Fender, Gibson, Jackson, Suhr or G&L gives you an excellent quality guitar, but there are others out there that have absolutely fantastic sound, tone and durability.
For instance I had an old Vantage bass from the that had an amazing bluesy sound. I just put it up for sale a week ago - clearing a little space and got tired of it.

I used to bring it along as a spare and if we did any really bluesy stuff (not crazy about blues, btw)
