The name of a TTT map is baiting racism

Please describe the issue in as much detail as possible.

On the TTT server there is a map named "ttt_nipperhouse2". If a player on our server says "nipper" in chat we consider it baiting racism aka. w/k/b. NimmyJeutron, Temper, and I were talking on TTT last night and we made some sense out of this situation. If someone sees that map name they think that is okay to say "nipperhouse", people will think it is okay to change their names to "nipperhouse" or "nipper".

What should be happening instead?

I believe the map name should either be changed on our server or removed from the map pool of TTT.

Please describe how to replicate the bug in as much detail as possible

To view the map names not as a leadership type "nominate" in chat and scroll through to find "ttt_nipperhouse2".

How exactly is this a bug? Seems like it's the map creators name, there's also countless threads on this where it has been denied. So this will probably just get moved to completed.

Its true, i made a suggestion for i too, it got denied cuz its the map makers name, i think it will be better to get it off the server since its baiting racism, but the map is fun, and i love to do the secret aswell so i still dont want it gone

Not every term that looks like NI**ER is baiting racism. Replace those letters with whatever. It's all about intent. If someone is using the word to bait racism, admin it, if they're referring to the map then let it go. Admins should know what to admin and when to admin it, when it doubt contact an AT. Just use common sense in these cases. It's very obvious when a player is using the term to bait racism and when they are talking about the map. If a player tries to "rule-lawyer" you about it then take action against them for being a moron.

no, just no. this map has been on the server for a while now. its not the 'n-word' and it isn't baiting racism. it's not even used in a disrespectful context either. its just the name of the map

The main issue I have with this map name is that is to darn difficult to hear the difference between N-WORD HARD R HOUSE and NIPPERHOUSE over voice. Especially with the 1 dollar headsets some people use. I never dare to admin on it, in case I have misunderstood what they said. However, I have seen the most racist stuff happen on this particular map, and I would not mind a name change in that regard.

I suggest:

ttt_the_house_that_nip_made

Also quite impossible to see the intent of the name of the creator, unless we ask him/her. But there are quite some stereotypically things to be found on the map that would suggest something else than what the name says. However, you can find this stuff on some other maps aswell? So if the name is racist or not... I try to see the positive side of things first so I would say no.

On the original thread for this, it was decided the map could not simply be renamed, since it is the name given to it by the creator. So unless the creator changes it.... yeah.

In the past we changed whole songs in maps and removed stuff from maps (because of nazi stuff or racist songs). I don't see why we can't change a name if it's causing trouble, for the same reasons. We would add a map with a plain racist name aswell? Oh well. If it doesn't change then it doesn't if that is the popular belief. Thinking about requesting a name change to this map creators name then.

This is the name of the map creator so we won't be looking into changing this. If players are using the map name to bait racism, admin action can be taken.
