Counter-Strike Global Offensive Jail Server A Sort of, Retrospective, of Jailbreak

Hello, all.

I know you saw my forum name and you're expecting some dumb shit because I wasn't the brightest bulb of the bunch. But, please hear me out.

I wasn't the best player when I was active on =(eGO)=, but I was A player. And I played to have fun. So every day after school or on the weekend, I would hop on JB and would have a blast.

I know times are changing, and I know =(eGO)= isn't what it used to be, but I just wanted to say what's on everyones minds. We all miss JB.

For me, it was my first true experience with the gamemode, and I absolutely loved it. =(eGO)= JB was THE jailbreak server to play on. It didn't have any bullshit like markers or guard rotations / wait timers, it was just FUN.

And well,

I miss it, and I want it to come back. If anyone has the know-how to host a server, or if someone is close with a higher up, please try to get jail back.

Don't do it for me or anyone else. Do it for =(eGO)= JB. The best ****ing server that ever hosted the gamemode.

I'm sorry but the truth it just would struggle with a playerbase. Jailbreak is something players become very accustomed to, and I doubt the new generation of jailbreak players want to learn a whole new rule set, map rotation, and playstyle. They are in their comfort zone, and honestly, I think pG Jail is amazing with some extra potential that could be fulfilled.

eh. its dead. everyone wants to play MG JB, rather than RP Rebel-focused JB. and its fine. Jail over the course of the years ive played has certainly evolved overtime, and it always slowly but surely turned into what we are seeing now, in a gamemode thats focused on just surviving for LR< playing minigames and not rewarding those who make attempts to rebel or have chaos.

Its not a server issue, its a full on "culture" shift, on all JB servers. Back in '06-'07 on source, it was heavily RP focused. Yes we did minigames but that wasnt the forefront of the game. and its not the same

Its not gonna happen, might as well embrace the change, or move on like most old eGO members did. at least TTT is still close enough to what i used to enjoy that i can have some fun in it from time to time.

Pretty much what Fist said, culture change/shift. Things happen, games/communities change. I talked about it a lot back in my old jail posts and fireside chats when I was jail server boss.

How about old school jail events? If we still have the proper plugins then the event team may be to able to work something out. These would work better for the RP rebel-focused jail style that Fistacles mentioned.

We have a Jail Server, but I'm assuming you are speaking of the server that hasn't been up for...5 months now? You are more than welcome to start playing (or continue playing, idk) on the server we have now.


I won't beat a dead horse that I've had to do for a VERY long time now, so to be blunt: No, we are keeping the server we have now. The other had very lack-luster support for a very long time unfortunately, so it was shut down. The love from the true regulars will always be there, and people will continue to love/play Jail.
