How many developers on eGO?

Hey, it's been quite some time.
Since attending university and on my way to an internship at arm (The chip design company that most of the worlds phones etc run on), I haven't had any time to game.

I kind've replaced my passion for gaming with learning to create, to develop, mainly using javscript and web devvy stuff but exposing myself to many different languages like; erlang and its concurrency uses.

Just curious, how many of you guys and girls on eGO are developers, web, plugins or otherwise.

GardenGroveVW is there a niche here for a small developer community/section where people can come, post coding issues/show off etc and get friendly solutions and just experience that small dev community?

Yeah, there are other places to go for that like SO etc but I remember eGO as my home, I'd like to have a reason to use the forums and interact with common folk.

Obviously if theres not a market for it, it's probably not worth it, but thought i'd pop in and see how everything is.

Just gonna go on a limb and say probably not haha. Our tech talk section is mad dead and most of the comments are incorrect information half the time. More of a hardware person myself than anything. But tech talk has been rough the past few years

Just feel like its an opportunity for a small expansion, theres no community around it since the section is dead.
More targetted input towards it / rebranding of the section / break down different area to more focuses sections could all go a long way.

A lot of people on here a primarily gamers, but maybe its too much to ask since it is a gaming community after all.

Before all of the current divisions there was a "dead" period, nothing is impossible, just depends on the goals and inputs of higher up etc. If it's not worth the time or effort in their eyes then thats fine, just thought I had a chance to see eGO in a new light.



PS: Does anyone have any cool developer forums to suggest on the back of this?

While that is true, it's less targetted/too generalized to promote developer interests, or to allow members to see (if there was) a developer community.

I was thinking along the lines more of I could login, go to a section and know that the posts there will be people asking for coding help, or a section to see what creations people have made with code. etc
