Just wanted to say thanks for the convoy night

Thanks to Adam 's discord announcement, I got to relive the past and play a little more Convoy tonight. Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun going back to my roots so to speak.

As an abbreviated version of the history here, just know that Convoy used to be a static server back about 10 years ago when I joined up with eGO and back in the hey day of TF2. Eventually it waned in popularity as a static server map and was replaced with something else. But it still kind of stuck around as a community meme with old timers, frequently popping up in discussions about event maps, discussions around what map to run on a flagging server, or just even general forum discussions.

I know I personally once replied to a ban contest by changing the lyrics to the song Convoy (unrelated to the map, look it up on Youtube). On another occasion we solicited feedback from the community on what map to put up on a server, and I edited every post on a thread with the reason "Convoy". (Convoy didn't win. )

In any case, for some of us old timers it's a nice blast from the past to see it up on a server. Me especially since it was one of the servers that led me to eGO back in the day. (As you can see from the screenshot where I don't even have tags yet.)

This is kind of how I felt, but since I'm not actively involved in eGO anymore, I wasn't sure Adam still had my cell number.

In any case, its sounds like Adam needs to setup a call tree to notify a lot of us the next time Convoy hits.
