Howdy y?all,

Ok so not saying this is happening but I want to put it out there so everyone understands. I have notice a lot more activity in people?s stream while you are in game. Please understand if your caught using the streams to find people or get away from people this is a form of Metagaming and is not allowed. Like I said I am not saying people are doing thing. But I want to remind everyone that it is metagaming if you are using it to avoid who you are watching. Please be responsible. I would hate to see you get ban for something like this so keep this in mind.

Thank you all and Happy Gaming.

To clarify, are we allowed to have someone's stream pulled up while we're in game as long as we're not abusing it or using it for our advantage, or just don't have anybody's stream pulled up period while in game.

So don't support our fellow members by watching their streams if we are playing FiveM while they are because that is metagaming? This doesn't make sense at all and seems like it wasn't thought out one bit. Like how can you find out someone was watching the stream? Not thought out at all and it seems like some people are just gonna get banned for no reason. This should just be thrown out...

How about you take a minute and re-read his post. He isn't telling you not to watch the streams, he's only reminding people not to use them to metagame and to be responsible.

There are plenty of ways to find out considering it shows who's logged in watching it as well as when you chat in the chat box...

Literacy test: failed. Read past the post title dude! This is how people jump to conclusions on news stories in real life too - then they make a fool of themselves on the internet.

Case in point, someone was streaming over the weekend and someone used that information to VDM that person. That's what Tram is talking about, using the stream to metagame. Metagaming is against the rules. I've never seen another FiveM RP server where it was allowed.

So let's recap for those who still don't get it.

1. You ARE allowed to watch someones stream.
2. You ARE NOT allowed to use information from the stream to metagame.

Understood?

I dont think you understand how easy it is to just not log-in to twitch, and not type in chat. Also, how will you ever come to the conclusion they are metagaming through streams? What if someone is talking in chat and they do get in a RP with them and kill them? Is that consider metagaming even though they aren't trying to do that and it just so happened. Just to many what-ifs in this that make it terrible.

Ok. Please don’t take this the wrong way but I guess you don’t understand what I am talking about. So I will make it easier for you. Your in a police chase and your watch a stream of a cop you get away then you realize that that streamer that is a cop is getting close to you and you take off. That’s metagaming being you see he or she is getting close to you and you leave to not get busted. Or. Your a cop and some that’s a civ is streaming and you lose them in a chance and you use there stream to find them.

This would have been good if I talked about something off topic. But considering I was just discussing what is being said means I read more than just the title. Next time think about what you are posting before you post it.

I completely agree with this, but most streamers have a delay so people can't do this and it would be almost impossible to catch. Also, I am not saying this is a bad thing, I am saying the way you worded it in the original post was horrendous.

No it should not be thrown out and yes streams can see who is watching there stream and other can too. It is not hard to figure out who is watching stream. It was thought out very well you just don’t see what I am talking about. No one said not to support a fellow member streaming. It is said to not break server rules.

Yes most have delays but it still does not stop people from stream snipping and using there streams to get a better chance at something. And it is worded just like it should be.

No you literally read the post as if it was a fighter jet passing by and made a bunch of shit up in it. You do this constantly and kind of have a terrible attitude.

Seems like you're out to attack every decision made here, good or bad. Get a grip man. Just stop playing if that's how you want to be.

Actually, streamers generally run with as small of a delay as possible so they can engage with their viewers.

Do not stream snipe, it is considered metagaming. ezpz no more confusion.
