Why can't we delete our own forum post?

How come you can't delete your own post? What happens if you accidently post the same thing twice? What happens if what you post already happened? How come only managers can delete post? Please make it so that only the author can delete their post but the admins can still find it by logs or etc.

You can’t post the same thing twice usually - there’s a delay between how quickly you can post. This is almost never an issue.

It takes all of 2 seconds to ask a manager to delete it. We don’t actually “delete” threads - they are moved to a trash section.

I mean it can kinda happen. Once I posted something and it didn't show me that I posted it and so I double posted.

You can delete you're post just fine. But not threads. Just decided to say.

Isn't it possible to delete forum posts?? when you go to edit a post, there is an option to delete the post as long as you give a reason for doing so. I think that's how that works anyway, and I'm sorry if I am wrong
