Why don't we host more events in GTA? It's a huge playground with a lot of possibilities, but it seems like we limit ourselves to races or car shows. I hadn't been around for a while, but in the few months I've been back, I've only known of one award ceremony hosted on the server for the FD (which was great and I felt it pulled everyone together). Why don't we do more things, even like that? We had an officer killed in the line of duty, but we never had a ceremony for them (just as an example of a missed opportunity). Here are some examples:
1. Job fairs for the different EMS we have in the city so civilians can meet us, ask questions about the work, etc.
2. Same as above but for the private businesses like GRR and Azul Airlines/Newspaper
3. This week is Corrections Officer appreciation week as well as Nursing appreciation (always the same week) - why not throw a celebration at the hospital and honor our EMS/EMT's/Dispatch, etc?
4. An event for upstanding citizens where we award them for their positive impact in the city (non-EMS jobs in other words).
These are just some of the ideas I literally thought about on-the-fly. I guess my whole things is, we seem to sometimes focus too much on the bureaucracy and day-to-day. IMHO, we should be more community-oriented and give our line members more opportunity to interact between EMS, businesses, and civilians in a positive RP manner as opposed to just responding to emergency calls or our daily routines. Not everything has to be death, destruction, and chaos.
