title says it all cant choose csgo as the game i play does it matter?

Are you applying for the e tag? If so choose Counter strike: Source as your division and then as your game choose CSGO

if you choose that then you are good to go and ofcourse choose csgo as your game

but before you can place those things you have to get your steam id in maul under source id

What Simon has said is correct. It will not let you select a source based game without adding your Steam ID to maul first.
