Hello everyone,

The Issue: In-game when I play as a Police Officer, I can't tell you how many times I catch someone who complains that my car caught up to them, which just ends in an argument 9/10 times. While yes, Cop Cars are very fast, they NEED to be, the following video's will prove that. Below are multiple speed tests and pursuits I conducted with three different cars, varying with three different prices. Huge shout out to DaddyDubs who was kind enough to help me out with conducting these few tests with pursuits. One of the cars, the M2 costs somewhere in the $50,000 range in-game. The next one was the M4, which costs $350,000 in-game. The last car has a weird name and I forgot it, but that car, costs $1.7 million dollars. Seeing just how big of a gap there is in cars should surprise you as it did me. But, here are the videos:

Firstly is the speed test of the 1.7 million dollar car.

So, that car WILL top out at 120 MPH. Think about that, $1.7 million dollars for 120 MPH. Anyways, just use this as a baseline if you will, to measure what $1.7 million will get you compared to the next few.

Next up, the M4. I did a speed test going from the entrace of the Los Santos Freeway to around the trooper barracks on the Senora Freeway

So, this $350,000 car pretty much topped out at around 160 MPH pretty much everywhere. After I figured this out, I put it to action to see how that compared to a police car as if it were a pursuit. Remember, cops NEED to be able to catch criminals somehow, so just watch this clip.

So, that's that. A $350,000 car left a cop in the dust. There was no chance in any universe that cop would have caught up, purely because of the M4's speed and handling.

So, we've seen two vehicles, with two very different speeds and costs. This is a bit ridiculous though. In my speed test for the M2, (again, which costs $55,000)... Just watch honestly.

So, how the M2 works is it has horrible acceleration, but it can stupid fast after a while. If you were watching at around 1:50, you'll see this car going 230 MPH. Why, why, why is that even possible? There is no shot in HELL that anything will be able to catch that. After a while, that M2 is going to break away from the cops and can easily just hide and the cops will never stand a chance. But finally, I tested it out in a pursuit. Now, this cop car, the 2017 explorer after the recent nerf will (usually) top out at 160ish. But check this out:

Honestly, I just can't believe that thing goes 220 MPH.

After all of that, something has to be realized. Please either balance these cars or nerf them in general. If ya'll wanna make a car that goes 220 MPH, make is like $4 million or something. But certainly not $50,000. Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Ignore some of the stupid grammar errors. Auto correct is a pain.

The cars do need some balancing, and I believe Summer is aware of this but just has a lot on her plate right now. The argument against Cop's vehicles going as fast as they do is that while they should be decently fast, they shouldn't be some of the fastest in the server. If someone pulls away from me, I shouldn't be able to run into my car and catch up with them before they hit the next light. It should be the officer's skill that lets them catch someone, not their vehicle.

Also, I don't believe using just 3 cars as an example warrants having all our vehicles be stupid fast. Even the M2 you pointed out is slow to accelerate, and I think them going 220 mph will probably leave them crashing and burning. If a Civilian pays upwards of 1m+ for a car, they should have the luxury of being faster than the cops.

We appreciate your feedback and will definitely look into it.
